Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez has recently been thrust into the spotlight for reasons far removed from the football field.
New footage released by TMZ shows Sanchez wandering and stumbling through downtown Indianapolis for nearly 20 minutes before a violent confrontation that ultimately led to his arrest.

The troubling incident began last week when Sanchez was arrested following an altercation with a 69-year-old delivery driver. Surveillance footage captured the moments leading up to the violent encounter near the Westin hotel.
According to police reports, Sanchez appeared to follow the delivery driver, who was seen walking backwards in an attempt to put distance between himself and Sanchez. The former athlete then chased the man, grabbed him, and forcefully threw him against a wall.
The police affidavit details that Sanchez’s aggression escalated when he threw the delivery driver to the ground in a nearby alleyway. The victim said he feared for his safety and pulled out pepper spray, which he used against Sanchez.
However, Sanchez appeared unfazed and wiped the spray away. Fearing he was in imminent danger, the delivery driver then pulled out a knife and struck Sanchez two or three times as Sanchez lunged toward him.
Following the stabbing, the NY Post released video showing Sanchez stumbling through the streets of Indianapolis, visibly injured and struggling to maintain his balance. The footage depicts a man clearly in distress, adding a new layer of complexity to the story.

The newly released video from TMZ offers a detailed look at Sanchez’s behavior prior to the confrontation. For almost 20 minutes, Sanchez is seen roaming the city streets, at times stumbling and appearing disoriented.
