Mark Sanchez is out of the hospital. The former quarterback appeared at Marion County Jail on Sunday to have his fingerprints and a mugshot taken. It was his first public appearance since he was arrested and charged with a felony and multiple misdemeanors in a stabbing incident.
Sanchez, who was stabbed in an altercation with a truck driver, appeared to be in pain as he gingerly entered the building. Sanchez had to appear to have his fingerprints and a mugshot taken in order to leave Indianapolis, per Max Lewis of Fox 59.
Sanchez needed help removing his jacket and items from his pockets before passing through the metal detector at the jail. When he removed his jacket, Sanchez’s right arm could be seen in a sling. Security footage of Sanchez after the altercation seemed to indicate he was stabbed on his right side.

Sanchez pleaded not guilty to charges Thursday. His next court date is set for Nov. 4.
Sanchez was arrested in early October after getting into a fight with a 69-year-old grease truck driver. A police filing claimed Sanchez told the man he couldn’t park his car in an alley. When the man tried to reach his phone to confirm, Sanchez reportedly stopped him.
The incident turned physical. The man, fearing for his life, pepper sprayed Sanchez. The quarterback was able to shake off the spray and attacked the man. That’s when the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Sanchez multiple times.
Both men were hospitalized after the incident. The truck driver was released from the hospital, though is reportedly dealing with serious injuries.

Sanchez, who had been working as an analyst with Fox, has not called games the past two weeks due to the incident.
