O Racing vive um alerta às vésperas da semifinal da Libertadores contra o Flamengo. O lateral-esquerdo titular Gabriel Rojas deixou o campo chorando durante a vitória sobre o Banfield, neste sábado (11), pelo Campeonato Argentino, e virou dúvida para o primeiro jogo do confronto continental.
O jogador sentiu a coxa direita ainda no primeiro tempo, aos 28 minutos, e precisou ser substituído imediatamente, com visível dor e abatimento. Segundo informações da imprensa argentina, Rojas sofreu uma lesão muscular, mas a gravidade só será confirmada após a realização de exames nesta segunda-feira.
O Racing enfrentará o Flamengo no próximo dia 22 de outubro, às 21h30 (de Brasília), no Maracanã. A volta, na Argentina, está marcada para o dia 29, também às 21h30.
Um dos destaques da temporada
Rojas é peça-chave do técnico Gustavo Costas e um dos destaques da equipe nesta temporada. O lateral soma seis assistências no ano, sendo uma delas decisiva contra o Vélez, nas quartas de final da Libertadores.
No duelo contra o Banfield, o argentino havia dado mais uma assistência antes de deixar o gramado. Após sentir o incômodo na parte posterior da coxa, levou a mão ao local e caiu em campo, sendo substituído sob aplausos da torcida.
Fontes locais especulam uma possível distensão ou ruptura muscular, o que poderia afastá-lo por semanas. Cenário que preocupa o Racing diante do calendário apertado da competição continental.
Racing acumula desfalques importantes
Além da possível ausência de Rojas, o Racing já tem dois desfalques confirmados para o duelo com o Flamengo. O zagueiro Franco Pardo sofreu uma lesão muscular de grau três na mesma região da coxa direita, enquanto o atacante Elías Torres rompeu os ligamentos do joelho e não joga mais nesta temporada.
Outros três nomes seguem em recuperação e ficaram fora da equipe pelo segundo jogo consecutivo. Adrián Martínez, Facundo Mura e Santiago Sosa também se lesionaram e podem ficar de fora.
Clima de apreensão antes da semifinal
O departamento médico do clube trabalha contra o tempo para tentar recuperar o lateral antes da viagem ao Brasil. Rojas tem sido um dos pilares defensivos e ofensivos do Racing, e sua ausência mudaria a estrutura tática da equipe.
Com a semifinal marcada contra um Flamengo em ascensão, o treinador argentino busca alternativas no elenco. Caso o lateral não tenha condições, Gonzalo Piovi deve assumir a posição na lateral esquerda.
