Juju Smith-Schuster makes a frightening announcement for the Chiefs’ opponents

JuJu Smith-Schuster has issued a warning to future opponents, as the Kansas City wide receiver hints that the Chiefs‘ offense is about to become far more dangerous following Rashee Rice‘s long-awaited return in Week 7.

The 2025 season has been an uneven one for the Chiefs, who sit at 3-3 through six games. Yet optimism is growing in Kansas City as the team prepares to welcome back one of its most dynamic young receivers, Rashee Rice, from suspension.

Chiefs and Lions game ended with a post-game fight

For months, Chiefs fans have imagined a scenario where Rice, rookie Xavier Worthy, and veteran Marquise “Hollywood” Brown all share the field alongside Patrick Mahomes. That long-awaited offensive trio could finally debut against the Raiders.

Smith-Schuster captured the mood of excitement among teammates and fans when he spoke to reporters after Sunday’s game.

“I’m so excited, man! I’m so excited,” Juju said. “Those guys in camp… To see those three guys on the offense will be very dangerous and very scary for a lot of defenses.”

Kansas City‘s offense, once renowned for its explosive playmaking, has struggled with consistency this season. Injuries and absences have forced Mahomes to adapt, but the return of Rice offers a chance to restore balance and speed to the attack.

Brown was expected to play a major role after joining as a free agent in 2024, yet his early shoulder injury derailed those plans.

He missed months of action, leaving Mahomes with a limited receiving corps through most of last season. But even effectively without Rice and Brown for the year, the Chiefs still made it to Super Bowl LIX.

Rashee followed Hollywood to the sidelines after suffering a devastating knee injury in Week 4 of 2024, and his absence was felt immediately, as he had emerged as one of the team’s most reliable options in his debut season with 79 receptions for 938 yards.

The young wideout’s momentum stalled again this year after he received a six-game suspension from the NFL due to a road-racing incident in Dallas. But now, with his suspension served, he is set to return for a Week 7 clash against the Las Vegas Raiders.

His reinstatement marks a pivotal moment for a Chiefs offense that already has Mahomes in fine form and averaging 25.8 points per game (155 total). Things are only going to get hotter at the Arrowhead.

Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Rashee Rice News: Gets WR1 Back

Mahomes, despite the setbacks around him, continues to perform at an MVP level. His Week 6 outing against Detroit featured 257 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions-plus another touchdown on the ground.

The star quarterback now has 1,514 passing yards and 11 touchdowns through six games, with only two interceptions, as his dual-threat ability has kept Kansas City competitive even with limited receiving options available.

When asked about Rice‘s return, Mahomes didn’t hide his enthusiasm. A brief but telling comment reflected both relief and anticipation for what’s next.

“I’m very excited,” Patrick said. “I mean, I’ll just leave it there.”

Tight end Travis Kelce remains the team’s leading receiver with 321 yards, followed by Brown‘s 302 and Tyquan Thornton‘s 272. Worthy, limited by a shoulder issue, has 13 catches for 145 yards and one touchdown across four games.

With Rice returning and Worthy nearing full health, the Chiefs are finally positioned to field the explosive lineup envisioned by general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid when the season began.

The upcoming matchup with the Raiders on October 19 (13:00 ET / 10:00 PT) offers the first true glimpse of Kansas City‘s full offensive potential.

If Rice, Brown, and Worthy can share the field as planned, Smith-Schuster‘s “frightening” warning could soon prove prophetic-and remember: that’s not the Chiefs‘ only weapons.

Steelers vs. Bengals live updates: NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ score, prediction, odds and latest

The last time DK Metcalf came to Cincinnati, the Bengals asked Cam Taylor-Britt to follow him around all day. He’s the most physical cornerback on the roster, almost ideally built to handle the rugged style Metcalf can use to win matchups. Taylor-Britt owned the day. Metcalf only caught four of nine targets for 69 yards and got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, taking out his frustration on the Cincinnati corner in a 17-13 loss. Since then, Taylor-Britt has fallen off dramatically. He’s on the brink of being benched a fourth time after critical mistakes in the loss at Green Bay last week. The top corner on the Bengals’ roster right now is DJ Turner, but at a slightly 5-11, 185 pounds, how much will defensive coordinator Al Golden choose to travel him with Metcalf given the differing styles? Golden also has […]
