This was supposed to be the start of a succesful era for the Chicago Sky. With Angel Reese, potential face of the league who boosted the WNBA's popularity along with Caitlin Clark, and Kamilla Cardoso, a prospective All Star for years to come, the WNBA franchise was supposedly looking to be on the rise. They just lost at home by 20 points against the Phoenix Mercury, in a game where at one point they were down by 36. A 3-9 record to start the season certainly isn't what anyone expected. Add to that the move the front office decided to make this past offseason when they traded away their 2026 first round pick to add immediate contributors in Aja Sivka and Hailey Van Lith.
