Kurt Cobain’s smashed guitar from Nirvana’s 1992 tour goes on sale for $30,000
Nirvana fans have received some unexpected news. One of Kurt Cobain's guitars is to be auctioned off, and what's more, it's the white Fender Stratocaster that the musician smashed during his European tour in 1992.This Wednesday, April 9, the bidding for it will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the United States, starting at a minimum price of $30,000. The guitar was repaired during the tour itself, when the group was presenting their new album 'Nevermind'.Kurt CobainIt was authenticated and inspected by the famous guitar technician Big John Duncan, as he did with another Fender Stratocaster, but in this case blue, which he smashed in the 90s, selling for half a million euros in 2023.
