Mikaela Shiffrin joins Patrick and Brittany Mahomes in NWSL team ownership group
Mikaela Shiffrin, the greatest skier of all time, will be one of the owners of the Denver team that will play in the US National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in 2026. Its presence, along with that of Boston Legacy FC, will bring the number of clubs in the US league to 16, double the number that started in 2013.Shiffrin, with 101 World Cup victories, two Olympic gold medals and eight World Championship golds, is a native of Colorado.
