Tragedy after blackout: at least four dead due to power cut in Spain
The town of Taboadela, in Ourense, has been the scene of a tragedy following the recent blackout that affected much of the Iberian Peninsula. An 81 and 77-year-old couple and their 56-year-old son were found dead in their home, allegedly due to carbon monoxide poisoning. According to preliminary investigations, the family had used an electric generator to power a respirator needed by one of its members, which could have led to the accumulation of the lethal gas inside the home.The generator, installed in the lower part of the house, is believed to have malfunctioned, emitting carbon monoxide that spread throughout the house. A home help worker discovered the bodies after receiving no response when she arrived at the house. Emergency services arrived at the scene but were unable to save the victims.Incredible!
