Rory McIlroy completed his career grand slam with a win at the 2025 Masters. However, now he has an opportunity to keep the momentum going with the 2025 PGA Championship being held from May 15 to 18 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, where McIlroy is a four-time Wells Fargo Championship winner. Three of those PGA Tour wins came by four shots or more, so his dominance is a major reason why he’s one of the PGA Championship 2025 co-favorites. McIlroy and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the last two Masters winners, are +500 in the latest 2025 PGA Championship odds.

They’re followed by Bryson DeChambeau (+1000), Ludvig Aberg (+1200) and Xander Schauffele (+1200) among the 2025 PGA Championship contenders for the season’s second major. Before locking in any 2025 PGA Championship picks of your own, or entering any 2025 PGA Championship DFS picks on sites like FanDuel, DraftKings, and PrizePicks, be sure to see the early golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 14 majors entering the weekend, including the 2025 Masters (its fourth Masters in a row) and last year’s PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed its sports betting picks could have seen massive returns on betting apps like FanDuelDraftKings and Fanatics

Now that the 2025 PGA Championship field is taking shape, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

2025 PGA Championship predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the PGA Championship 2025: Collin Morikawa (14-1), a two-time major winner, including being the 2020 PGA champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles and barely cracks the top 10. Morikawa is coming off a 14th-place tie at the Masters, marking the third straight major tournament he failed to place in the top 10. This ties the longest drought of his career, and he’s failed to even crack the top 25 in two of his last three PGA Championship starts.

Quail Hollow checks in at over 7,500 yards, making it the sixth-longest course in the 2025 PGA Tour season. That length could be an issue for Morikawa, who ranks just 163rd (out of 183 qualified golfers) in driving distance. Morikawa is also struggling in the short game, as once he steps foot onto the green, he ranks just 128th in total putting. It’s been 18 months since Morikawa won any event on any tour, and the model isn’t high on his prospects for the 2025 PGA Championship.

Another surprise: Jon Rahm, an 18-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The 30-year-old Spanish superstar is already a 22-time worldwide winner with two major championship wins under his belt. He won the 2021 U.S. Open by a shot and turned a two-shot 54-hole deficit into a four-shot victory at the 2023 Masters.

Rahm won twice around the world in 2024 and was top 10 in each of his first five regular-season events in 2025. After an opening-round 75 at the 2025 Masters, Rahm rebounded to shoot under par the next three days and posted a respectable t-14th finish despite the miserable start. He’s recorded 13 top-10 finishes in major championships in his career and made the cut at Quail Hollow in the 2017 PGA Championship as a young professional. See who else to pick here

How to make 2025 PGA Championship picks

The model is also targeting three other golfers with odds of 18-1 or longer who will make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model’s picks here.

Who will win the 2025 PGA Championship, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the 2025 PGA Championship odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected leaderboard, all from the model that’s nailed 14 golf majors, including the last four Masters and three majors in 2024.

Fantasy football waiver wire pickups: NFL Week 8

Another week of the 2025 NFL season is just about in the books. Here are the players you should be targeting in your fantasy football leagues, including options for smaller leagues and deeper leagues, as well as players to avoid. Jump to a position group: QB | RB | WR | TE QUARTERBACK Jaxson Dart, New York Giants (Rostered in 43.3% of leagues on ESPN) League Size: 10 Time Frame: Week 8, Short Term, Long Term Dart has started the past four games for the Giants, averaging 23.0 fantasy points per game during that stretch (fourth best among quarterbacks). He was aided by his rushing ability in his first three starts, gaining at least 50 rushing yards in each. This past week, he faced a Denver Broncos defense that has usually been great at slowing quarterbacks. However, Dart completed 15 […]

4 Takeaways From the Blue Jays’ ALCS Game 6 Win Over the Mariners

While the National League Championship Series was decided with the minimum, the AL counterpart will go the maximum. With a chance to reach the World Series for the first time in their franchise’s history Sunday night in Toronto, the Mariners were stifled in Game 6 of the ALCS by a 22-year-old rookie starter who had other ideas in a 6-2 Blue Jays win, setting up a winner-take-all Game 7 on Monday night. Here are my takeaways: 1. With the season on the line, Jays’ rookie wins the battle The last time Trey Yesavage and Logan Gilbert faced off in Game 2, neither left with an impressive line. Yesavage was unable to baffle Blue Jays hitters with his splitter the way he did against the Yankees in the American League Division Series, while Gilbert looked rusty coming off just two days of rest after being […]

Dak Prescott Is Playing Like an MVP, and the Cowboys Defense Finally Did Its Part

ARLINGTON, Texas - What if your quarterback has an MVP-caliber season, but your defense is so bad you can't even make the playoffs? Call it the Joe Burrow effect. It was one thing when the Cowboys scored 40 and managed only a tie against the Packers, another when they scored 27 and still lost to the Panthers. So, this past week, in defensive meetings, the message was clear and urgent for Dallas players: Don't let an amazing season by Dak Prescott get buried in high-scoring losses."We talk about it all the time: When you've got an offense like this, that's a championship offense, and we don't want to let that go to waste," defensive tackle Kenny Clark said. "I'm just being real. We have to keep improving and keep stepping up, because they're balling. They're putting up points, and you saw today, […]
