Das Aus von Carlo Ancelotti bei Real Madrid scheint beschlossen. Er selbst soll seinen Spielern bereits in der Kabine seinen Abschied mitgeteilt haben. Wer die Königlichen übernimmt, ist allerdings noch offen. Ein Kandidat für eine Interimslösung: Raúl (47). Der Ex-Stürmer, der in seiner Karriere auch für Schalke spielte, äußerte sich nun zu den Gerüchten.
Raúl gegenüber der spanischen Zeitung „Marca“: „Ich bin glücklich, hier zu sein, ich bin dort, wo ich sein möchte. Wenn es an der Zeit ist, eine Bewertung vorzunehmen, und wenn der Verein Entscheidungen trifft, falls er das tut, was ich nicht weiß, werden wir sehen.“
[–>Bereits seit 2019 trainiert Raúl Real Madrid Castilla, die zweite Mannschaft der Königlichen. Mehr als 200 Mal stand er hier an der Seitenlinie, sein Vertrag läuft in diesem Sommer aus.
Raúl, der selbst bis 2010 bei Real spielte und 741 Mal für den Klub auflief: „Das Wichtigste ist jetzt, dass wir ruhig und gelassen bleiben. Wir sind am Ende der Saison und es stehen noch viele Dinge auf dem Spiel. Ich denke, es wird die Zeit geben, um Entscheidungen zu treffen, die den Verein und mich persönlich betreffen können. Aber ich bin sehr ruhig.“

Anders im Verein selbst: Nach dem verlorenen Finale der Copa del Rey (2:3 gegen Barcelona) und dem Aus im Viertelfinale der Champions League gegen Real Madrid bleibt nur noch eine Titel-Chance in dieser Saison: Meisterschaft in La Liga. Allerdings liegen sie auch hier vier Punkte hinter Barça (Mitte März waren sie noch punktgleich). Derzeit ist es höchst unwahrscheinlich, dass Ancelotti bis zum Ende seines Vertrags (2026) bleibt. Auf eigenen Wunsch soll Ende Mai Schluss sein, noch vor der Klub-WM (14. Juni bis 13. Juli) will er aufhören.
Neben Raúl soll laut „The Athletic“ auch Santiago Solari (48), derzeit Direktor Profifußball bei Real Madrid, ein Kandidat für die Interimslösung sein.
