Globo elimina o Internacional em 2022
Na primeira fase da edição de 2022, o Globo, do Rio Grande do Norte, venceu o Internacional por 2 a 0 no Estádio Barretão e avançou no torneio. A eliminação precoce do Colorado gerou repercussão nacional e ficou marcada como uma das maiores surpresas da história recente da competição.
Afogados derruba o Atlético-MG em 2020
Dois anos antes, o Afogados, de Pernambuco, eliminou o Atlético-MG nos pênaltis, após empate por 2 a 2 no tempo normal. Fundado em 2013, o clube nordestino protagonizou uma façanha diante de um dos gigantes do futebol brasileiro. Curiosamente, sua fundação ocorreu no mesmo dia em que o Galo foi derrotado pelo Raja Casablanca no Mundial de Clubes, em 2013.
América-RN vira contra o Fluminense em 2014
Um dos jogos mais emblemáticos da história da Copa do Brasil aconteceu em 2014. Após perder por 3 a 0 em casa para o Fluminense, o América-RN goleou o time carioca por 5 a 2 no Maracanã e avançou às quartas de final, beneficiado pelo critério do gol fora de casa. A virada é considerada até hoje a maior da história da competição.
ASA elimina o Palmeiras em 2002
Em 2002, o Palmeiras foi surpreendido pelo ASA de Arapiraca. O clube alagoano venceu o primeiro jogo em casa e, mesmo jogando com um jogador a menos por boa parte do segundo tempo no Palestra Itália, segurou o resultado. O Verdão venceu por 2 a 1, mas foi eliminado pelo critério do gol qualificado na Copa do Brasil.
Campeões inesperados: Santo André e Paulista
Além das eliminações surpreendentes, dois clubes conquistaram o título da Copa do Brasil em campanhas históricas. Em 2004, o Santo André bateu o Flamengo na final. No ano seguinte, foi a vez do Paulista de Jundiaí superar o Fluminense e levantar a taça.

Bennett Stirtz and reserves Alvaro Folgueiras and Brendan Hausen all scored 13 points to power Iowa to a 91-51 romp over Western Michigan on Sunday.Stirtz added six assists for the Hawkeyes (9-2), who are unbeaten in seven home games.
