The Ryan Garcia who knocked Devin Haney down three times on April 20, 2024, never made it to Times Square on the night of Friday, May 2, although the show that usually accompanies ‘King Ry’ did, when he was seen arriving at the Ring Magazine-sponsored Riyadh Season show in a ‘Batmobile’.

If there’s one thing that’s characterized Ryan Garcia in recent months, it’s his arrogance, his self-sufficiency, his talkativeness and above all, his incontinence on social media, after the suspension for testing positive for ostarine after his fight with Haney more than a year ago. Tears and no arrogance in defeat
Garcia was seen suffering after he got out of the ring and took refuge in a truck backstage, bathed in tears, yes for the defeat, but above all for having to let go of his arrogance in front of the crowd, when recognizing his rival: “He did a good fight, he caught me early. No excuses. He did a great job, and that’s it. I’m happy to have gotten in the ring and fought 12 rounds. I take my hat off to Rolly, he did a great job,” Garcia said.
Today, the only way is up after hitting rock bottom in every sense of the word, and hopefully it will be with greater humility for Garcia, who acknowledged what he has to do: “I just have to start from scratch with my team, we’ll talk about it and see what we do.”
