Bia Souza perde a primeira após o ouro olímpico e deixa escapar bronze no Grand Slam de judô

O Brasil encerrou sua participação no Grand Slam de Judô de Astana, no Cazaquistão, neste domingo, com seis pódios, todos conquistados por mulheres. Só não conquistou medalha na categoria acima de 78kg, justamente a da campeã olímpica e número dois do ranking mundial, Beatriz a Souza.

Bia chegou a brigar pelo bronze mas foi derrotada pela japonesa Ruri Takahashi, por ippon, no “golden score”, a prorrogação. Ela iniciou a competição nas quartas de final e perdeu para a chinesa Xinran Niu por um yuko. Essa foi sua primeira derrota desde o ouro em Paris-2024.

Na repescagem, a brasileira superou a sérvia Milica Zabic por ippon e se credenciou à disputa do bronze.

Na categoria até 78kg, Beatriz Freitas conquistou sua primeira medalha em um Grand Slam de judô após derrotar a francesa Liz Ngelebeya, por ippon.

No caminho até as finais, a brasileira estreou com vitória por ippon sobre a chinesa Yingxue Wang e, na sequência, derrotou a francesa Kaila Issoufi nas quartas de final. Nas semifinais, porém, a judoca de 22 anos foi superada, por ippon, pela sul-coreana Minju Kim, que ficou com o ouro.

Além dela, subiram ao pódio no Grand Slam de Astana Rafaela Silva (até 63kg) e Luana Carvalho (até 70kg), no sábado, e Natasha Ferreira (até 48kg), Jéssica Pereira (até 52kg) e Shirlen Nascimento (até 57kg) na sexta-feira.

Entre os homens, o Brasil não conseguiu medalha. Na categoria até 90kg, Marcelo Fronckowiak chegou à disputa do bronze após vencer seus três primeiros combates e cair nas semifinais. Na briga pelo pódio, ele teve um belo ippon invalidado pelo juiz e saiu derrotado para o checo Adam Kopecky.

Também neste domingo, os judocas Karol Gimenes (até 78kg), Giovani Ferreira (até 90kg) e Rafael Buzacarini (acima de 100kg) foram eliminados na fase preliminar.

Agora, os judocas brasileiros se preparam para o Mundial de Budapeste, na Hungria, que será realizado entre 13 a 20 de junho.
