“The original ECW whose innovative style helped bring the entire wrestling world to a new extreme. We send our condolences to his loved ones,” Triple H wrote on his X account.

Who was Sabu?

From his grueling training under the tutelage of his uncle “The Sheik,Terry Brunk burst onto the wrestling scene in the mid-1980s, still in his twenties, and began a career marked by risk and intensity.

Sabu rose to prominence in FMW in 1991, where his scars from extreme fighting sparked rumors that were denied by those close to him.

His big break came when he joined ECW, a violent hardcore wrestling brand that was purchased by WWE, where Sabu made only a few appearances.
