Česká reprezentace se s Dánskem naposledy utkala na domácím světovém šampionátu v Praze a po divoké přestřelce zvítězila 7:4.
Na letošním šampionátu si oba týmy pořadatelství vyměnily a doma jsou v Herningu dánští hokejisté. Vzájemné utkání ve skupině přichází na řadu v pondělí 12. května od 20:20.

Poprvé se česká reprezentace s Dánskem utkala na MS v roce 2008 v kanadském Québecu. Od té doby se tyto dva výběry střetly ještě osmkrát. Češi mají s Dány pozitivní bilanci pěti vítězství za tři body, dvou výher na nájezdy a stejného počtu porážek v nájezdové loterii.
Na výsledcích posledních vzájemných měření sil je vidět zlepšená výkonnost severského soupeře, do čtvrtfinále se však Dánové dokázali propracovat jen v letech 2010 a 2016. Na umístění mezi nejlepší osmičkou tak už skoro osm let čekají.

88. ročník mistrovství světa v hokeji je na programu v termínu od 9. do 25. května 2025. Hostí jej Švédsko a Dánsko, konkrétně města Stockholm a Herning.
