[–>City-Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) hat bereits mehrmals mit Wirtz gesprochen. Er will den Nationalspieler als Nachfolger von Kevin de Bruyne zu seinem Chef der Offensive machen.
Das Angebot kommt dem Werksklub gerade recht, um in einem Ablöse-Poker mit Bayern unabhängig agieren zu können. Der Rekordmeister hat bisher keinen Kontakt aufgenommen. Bayern soll gerade ein Angebot für 100 Millionen Euro vorbereiten, Leverkusen hat Wirtz ein Preisschild für 150 Millionen Euro verpasst. Mit City am Verhandlungs-Tisch hat Bayer nun eine weitere Verkaufsoption.
Simon Rolfes (43) ließ öffentlich wissen: „Wir haben klare Aussagen der Familie. Deshalb sind wir entspannt.“
Klar ist dabei: Vater Wirtz darf sich mit Bayern offiziell noch nicht einigen, eine Vertragsunterschrift seines Sohnes wäre erst ein halbes Jahr vor Ende seines Vertrages, also ab dem 1. Januar 2027, erlaubt. Gängig ist so ein Vorgehen in der Branche dennoch – wird bei Bayern wie bei Leverkusen ständig praktiziert. Leverkusen hat Papa Wirtz die Verhandlungen mit anderen Vereinen jedoch genehmigt.
Von einer Vertragsverlängerung mit Wirtz in Leverkusen, die im Winter kurz bevorzustehen schien, ist inzwischen längst keine Rede mehr. Saßen die Bayern-Bosse im Wirtz-Poker am Freitag noch im sogenannten „Driver Seat“, befeuert das Angebot aus City nun den knallharten Poker! Es geht nicht mehr darum, ob Wirtz geht – sondern nur darum, wann: 2025 oder 2026.
