Abgekämpft stand er als Letzter in der Mixed Zone, während die Kollegen nach dem 32:25 gegen Montpellier schon in der Kabine die gängigen Schlager schmetterten.
Beim Blick ins Gesicht von Handball-Nationalspieler Johannes Golla (27) war nicht sofort klar, dass Golla mit der SG Flensburg-Handewitt einige Minuten zuvor gerade die European League gewonnen und den Titel verteidigt hatte.
„Der Titel ist extrem wichtig für uns. Weil diese Emotionen und das, was wir alle gemeinsam erleben dürfen, das ist, wonach wir uns alle sehnen“, erklärt der SG-Kapitän Golla mit gedämpfter Freude.

Golla mahnend: „Man muss das Ganze von dem, was sonst in der Bundesliga passiert, trennen. Es wäre zu einfach, zu sagen, jetzt ist die Welt in Ordnung. Natürlich muss alles unabhängig analysiert und nach der Saison auch ausgewertet werden.“
Golla & Co. gingen im Spätsommer als Top-Favorit in Saison. Bereits zur Winterpause hatte die SG zehn Minuspunkte kassiert und einen Trainer (Nicolej Krickau/38, d.Red.) gefeuert.

Golla weiß aus Erfahrung: „Solche Titel und Erlebnisse sind am Ende die Dinge, die so einen Verein ausmachen und die auch im Kopf bleiben. Der Titel ist für den Moment und für uns als Verein, als Gemeinschaft sehr, sehr schön.“
