Nach dem Champions-League-Einzug kamen die nächsten guten Nachrichten aus der Marketing-Abteilung von Borussia Dortmund.
SPORT BILD enthüllte am vergangenen Samstag, dass Vodafone der neue Hauptsponsor wird und jährlich 30 Mio. Euro für den Platz auf der Brust zahlt. Nun steht auch fest: Der Schriftzug des Weltkonzerns wird in schwarzer Farbe zu sehen sein. Was den Fans extrem wichtig war.
[–>Es ist allerdings nur die halbe Wahrheit. Denn: Auf das Auswärtsdress, das anders als die zwei Heimtrikots (Liga und Cup) nicht in Gelb gehalten sein wird, wird der Name des Unternehmens in Rot gedruckt. Ein Kompromiss, mit dem beide Seiten gut leben konnten und der zunächst für ein Jahr gilt. In einem Jahr wird dann erneut in den Farbtopf geschaut.
Langfristig hingegen gilt, dass der BVB die Möglichkeit hat, weitere Millionen neben dem XXL-Paket mit Vodafone einzunehmen. Der BVB sicherte sich nach SPORT BILD-Informationen das Recht zu, die Trainingskleidung mit einem anderen, zusätzlichen Sponsor zu versehen. Das Unternehmen dafür ist noch nicht gefunden, Verhandlungen laufen. Intern rechnen die Bosse mit Extra-Einnahmen von rund acht Millionen Euro pro Jahr.
[–>Die Gesamtsumme, die 1&1 (Liga-Trikots) sowie Evonik (Cup-Trikots) bis dato zahlten – zusammen 32 bis 35 Millionen Euro pro Jahr –, wird also übertroffen. Spielt der BVB eine überragende kommende Saison, kann der Revier-Klub sogar auf eine Gesamtsumme in Höhe von mehr als 40 Millionen Euro kommen. Denn: Beide Verträge („Vodafone“ und der „Trainings-Kit-Sponsor“) sollen auch noch leistungsbezogene Bonus-Komponenten erhalten.
Aus Sicht der Borussia ist es ein Top-Deal. Was auch darin begründet ist, dass Vodafone einen sehr namhaften Konkurrenten hatte, der ebenfalls mit aller Macht auf das BVB-Trikot drängte: Emirates. Der Flugkonzern mit Sitz in Dubai, der nun um die Bayern-Brust kämpft, bot bis vor rund zwei Wochen mit und verschaffte der Borussia eine gute Verhandlungsposition.

Leicester have confirmed Marti Cifuentes as their new manager.Cifuentes replaces Ruud van Nistelrooy, who left the King Power Stadium after seven months in charge following the Foxes' relegation to the Championship. Cifuentes has signed a two-year deal at the King Power Stadium, with the option of a further year.The 43-year-old was at fellow second-tier club Queen's Park Rangers but at the end of June after being placed on gardening having held talks with West Bromwich Albion over their head coach vacancy.
