Minden muss zum TuS Ferndorf, der als Elfter mit 30:36-Punkten gerettet ist. Hüttenberg muss zu den Eulen Ludwigshafen, die mit 28:38-Punkten zittern wie Espenlaub.
Gegen den Abstieg kämpfen außer Ludwigshafen noch der TSV Dormagen, der VfL Lübeck-Schwartau, der TuS N-Lübbecke und der ASV Hamm-Westfalen. Deren Gegner sind allesamt Fluch und Segen zugleich.

Kurios: Dormagen hat mit 1033 Treffern den zweitbesten Angriff der Liga, spielt aber dennoch gegen den Abgang in Liga 3. Schon allein das zeigt: Es ist die wahrscheinlich verrückteste Handball-Liga in ganz Europa, in der man 30 Punkte brauchte, um den Abstieg zu verhindern.
