Fanatics is turning the sports world upside down with its latest announcement: the launch of the Fanatics Games, a groundbreaking competition where fans will face off against some of the biggest names in professional sports for a chance to win $1 million.
Scheduled for June 20-22 in New York City as part of Fanatics Fest 2025, this event promises to deliver an unforgettable experience, blending fan interaction with high-level competition.
It’s not just a meet-and-greet or a casual exhibition – Fanatics calls it “a high-stakes, multi-event skills showdown” that will put fans directly in the spotlight alongside their athletic heroes.
A Battle of Skills Across Eight Sports
Fifty fans will be chosen to compete against fifty pro athletes in a series of challenges that test a broad range of sporting skills. The competition spans eight sports: basketball shooting, quarterback accuracy, soccer goal-scoring, baseball pitching, hockey shooting, UFC striking, WWE entrances, and golf precision.
Each competitor’s six best performances across these events will be tallied to determine the final standings. With $2 million in total prizes up for grabs, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The winner will take home a whopping $1 million cash prize. Second place receives a luxury 2025 Ferrari 296 GTB, while third place wins a $250,000 LeBron James rookie card.
To keep things exciting for the fans, if no fan finishes in the top three, the highest-scoring fan will still earn $100,000.
Fanatics has made sure this competition will feature some big names from the world of sports and entertainment.
The lineup includes NFL legends Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, and Odell Beckham Jr., NBA stars Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Draymond Green, WWE’s Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley, plus celebrity entertainer Kevin Hart, among others. Their participation adds star power and fierce competition to the mix.
Entry isn’t open to everyone – aspiring contestants must apply by June 9 through the Fanatics App or social media, submitting a video showcasing their skills with the hashtag #FanaticsGames. This ensures that the participants are serious contenders ready to challenge the pros.
