2025 Canadian Grand Prix odds, picks, grid, start time: Formula 1 predictions, best bets by proven model

Article arrow_drop_down

The 2025 Canadian Grand Prix will be held on Sunday at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. It’s been Formula 1’s exclusive home for the Canadian Grand Prix since 1978, and is situated on Notre Dame Island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen is the three-time defending champion of the event and he’ll need to keep that streak running as he looks to stop Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris of McLaren for running away in the race for the world championship. Piastri is the +150 favorite (risk $100 to win $150) in the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix odds, while Norris is priced at +200 and Verstappen is +350.

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll (+150000) will likely have the most support of any driver in the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix field as the only Canadian on the F1 starting grid and he’s also a +750 longshot to finish top 10 in this week’s F1 prop odds. The lights go out at 2 p.m. ET and the race is scheduled for 70 laps around the 14-turn, 2.710-mile circuit. Before analyzing the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix starting grid and making any Formula 1 picks, be sure to check out the latest 2025 Canadian GP predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven projection model.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model simulates every race 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as track history and recent results. It’s had a strong history of betting success in motorsports, correctly predicting 22 NASCAR winners since the 2021 season and its projected leaderboards have forecasted winners across multiple racing formats.

The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events dating back to 2021 as well. It nailed 10 victories across the 2021 and 2022 seasons and then forecasted Verstappen’s rise to prominence by calling all 19 of Verstappen’s wins during the 2023 season and each of his first seven wins in 2024.

It went on to predict Norris as a +200 winner in the Netherlands, a +190 winner in Singapore and a +250 winner in Abu Dhabi later in 2024 before projecting Norris for a +185 win at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix and then a -150 win at Monaco. It also called Piastri’s wins in Bahrain (-275) and Saudi Arabia (-105) this season, and has now called 33 of the last 53 winners dating back to 2023. Anyone who followed the model’s lead on those plays at sportsbooks and on betting apps could have seen huge returns. New users also have the opportunity to take advantage of the latest FanDuel promo codeDraftKings promo code and Fanatics Sportsbook promo code.

Now, the model has dialed in on the 2025 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections. You can head to SportsLine now to see the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix projected leaderboard.

Top 2025 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix predictions

One surprise: The model is backing Red Bull Racing for a double-points finish (+170) where both Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda finish top 10. The Spanish Grand Prix was the low-water mark for Red Bull, as the team managed to collect just one point with Verstappen finishing 10th and Tsunoda finishing 13th. However, this is still incredible value from Caesars when you consider the other races they’ve run together as teammates, and you can also bet $1 and double your winning on your next 10 bets with the latest Caesars Sportsbook promo code.

After Tsunoda replaced Liam Lawson in Red Bull’s second seat, Verstappen and Tsunoda both finished inside the top 10 three times in a four-race span. That included an extremely strong run by both cars at Imola, with Verstappen winning the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and Tsunoda racing his way up to 10th after starting the race on pit lane. Verstappen has won the last three Canadian Grand Prix and Red Bull was double-podium at Notre Dame in 2023. See more 2025 Canadian Grand Prix picks right here.

How to make 2025 Canadian Grand Prix picks

The model has revealed its win prediction and is also targeting a driver going off with double-digit odds to make a surprising surge up the 2025 Canadian GP leaderboard. Anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can find out who he is, and see all of the model’s F1 picks and predictions, at SportsLine.

So who wins the Canadian Grand Prix 2025, and which stunning longshot charges toward the front? Check out the latest 2025 F1 odds below, then visit SportsLine now to see the full projected 2025 Canadian Grand Prix leaderboard, all from the model that has nailed 33 of the 53 winners in Formula 1 since the start of 2023, and find out.

Bill Belichick’s UNC misses bowl eligibility after trick play by Duke

When Bill Belichick was introduced as UNC head coach 11 long months ago, he revealed, joked or lied that his first words as a child were "Beat Duke."His program fell short of that goal on Saturday, and the result is a disappointing season will officially end next weekend. At home, UNC had come back from down 24-10 to take a 25-24 lead early in the fourth quarter. That remained the score until the final three minutes, when the Blue Devils lined up for a go-ahead field goal that would have given the Tar Heels the ball back with more than two minutes left and a […]

Washington Spirit vs. Gotham FC, NWSL Championship: Trinity Rodman’s status hangs over title match

Two star-studded teams in the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC will meet in San Jose for the NWSL Championship, a competitive match likely in store as each side chases their second league title, but the big question looms -- will Trinity Rodman play? The pair took contrasting roads to the NWSL Championship, the No. 2 seed Spirit advancing as the favorites in their matchups while Gotham played spoiler as the No. 8 seed, eliminating the runaway NWSL Shield winners in the Kansas City Current and last year's champions Orlando Pride. To describe this as a David vs. Goliath-type game would be a misnomer, though, Gotham have been inconsistent, but they won the Championship just two years ago and boast an MVP nominee in Esther Gonzalez. While Gonzalez and new Gotham recruict Jaedyn Shaw headline Juan Carlos Amoros' team, the attention will also […]

Bills RB Ty Johnson fined $10,777 for pelvic-thrust TD celebration in win over Bucs

The NFL has fined Buffalo Bills running back Ty Johnson $10,777 for "obscene gestures" as part of a crackdown on unsportsmanlike conduct. Johnson did a thrust-heavy celebration after scoring a go-ahead touchdown in the Bills' win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11.With less than a minute left in the first half, Johnson broke away on third-and-5 to sprint 52 yards for the touchdown. To celebrate, Johnson grabbed his leg, seemingly pretending to have sustained an injury (à la the Kansas City Current's Lo'eau LaBonta), and fell before grinding his pelvis against the ground twice.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBuffalo went on to win the game, 44-32, behind a six-touchdown night from quarterback Josh Allen. The fine comes a couple of weeks after Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle was fined $14,491 for a similar celebration.
