Although there are still weeks to go before the official kickoff, mock drafts, minicamps and depth reports are beginning to reveal which rookies have the ideal profile to explode from year one, especially in PPR leagues and dynasty formats.

Many of these rookies come with immediate impact labels: guaranteed volume, aerial skills and a perfect fit in offensive systems that prioritise their talent. Whether it’s opportunity, potential or sheer talent, this year’s crop is loaded with names that could transform any roster from the first month.
Rookies who can produce from Week 1
Ashton Jeanty (Raiders) is the crown jewel. His dominance in the Boise State backfield translates into an impending workload as Las Vegas’ rushing leader. With Chip Kelly’s offensive system designed for versatile running backs, Jeanty will not only rack up rushing yards, but will also be a constant threat on passing plays. His value as an RB1 is already a reality in redraft leagues.
Omarion Hampton (Chargers) is another running back who should see action immediately. His physical style and ability to read blocks make him an ideal fit in Los Angeles’ ground game. Although he will share touches with Najee Harris, Hampton has the profile of a solid RB2, with the possibility of ascending if he earns the trust of the coaching staff early on.
Explosive receivers with a growing role
Travis Hunter (Jaguars) is one of the most intriguing talents. With a unique combination of explosiveness and technical ability, Hunter can play both in the slot and out wide, being a headache for opposing defenses. Alongside Brian Thomas Jr, he has the potential to become the ideal WR3 who occasionally delivers WR2 weeks thanks to his ability to generate big plays.
Tetairoa McMillan (Panthers) could be the constant volume option in Carolina. His stature and control in the air make him a reliable target for intermediate and red zone plays.
