After the failure of the Daniel Jones project with the New York Giants, a new era has begun at the quarterback position. Jones, selected in the first round of the 2019 draft to succeed Eli Manning, never managed to become the guy who could turn the franchise around.

Despite everything he faced-limited talent around him, injuries, and more-Daniel Jones had a great 2022 season, leading the team to the playoffs and defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round. That performance earned the Duke product a four-year, $160 million extension-but it turned out to be a total failure.
Two injury-riddled seasons followed, including a torn ACL, and his performances were underwhelming. Last season, Jones was released, and during the offseason, the Giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston and drafted Jaxson Dart with the goal of making the rookie the face of the franchise.
Eli Manning Advises Jaxson Dart on Handling the New York Media
The New York market is one of the toughest for athletes, especially because of the pressure from the city’s media. Not every player can handle the scrutiny. But one who did was Eli Manning, two-time Super Bowl champion.
At a Fanatics event, Giants legend Eli Manning offered advice to the team’s new quarterback, Jaxson Dart, on how to conduct himself amid all the challenges of playing for a New York franchise.
“As a quarterback, as a team leader, you have to understand that when you have a great game, you’ve got to give credit to all your teammates. You give credit to everyone-for how they played and what they did-and say, ‘It wasn’t me; it was them.’
“And the opposite when you have a bad game. You’ve got to take responsibility, accept the blame… and that’s just part of being a quarterback,” Manning said.
Eli Manning has always been a model player and pointed out that the key is recognizing your own mistakes and, above all, earning the respect of veteran teammates. The clearest example is Jaxson Dart-he may be the future of the franchise, but first, he will have to respect and learn from the starter, Russell Wilson, a Super Bowl champion.

The injury bug keeps striking the face of the Washington Commanders.Quarterback Jayden Daniels has a hamstring strain and will miss the team's Week 8 road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Media reported on Wednesday.Daniels suffered the hamstring injury in the third quarter of Washington's Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
