Mitte Juni präsentierten die Bamberg Baskets ihren neuen Namenssponsor, einen Spezialisten für Brandmeldeanlagen. Rund 500.000 Euro pro Jahr bringt der Deal dem Ex-Serienmeister aus der Easycredit Basketball-Bundesliga, der ab sofort als BMA365 Bamberg Baskets Körbe werfen wird.

Axel Riedner, Geschäftsführer des Unternehmens, betonte dabei die Verbundenheit zu Feuerwehrleuten. Stellt sich die Frage, ob sich auch die neue Basketball-Partnerschaft für die Menschen auszahlt, die oft genug ihr Leben im Kampf gegen die Flammen riskieren.
Und tatsächlich gibt es hierfür eine Idee in der neuen Saison: BMA365 wird die „Bamberg Baskets Feuerwehr-Dauerkarte“ zur Verfügung stellen. Eine Dauerkarte eigens für Feuerwehrleute – und weil es die in ganz Deutschland gibt, wird es die Dauerkarte sowohl bei Heim- als auch bei Auswärtsspielen der Bamberger in der BBL geben.

Riedner, früher selbst in der freiwilligen Feuerwehr, zu SPORT BILD: „Basketball ist ein beliebter Sport, der die Menschen emotional verbindet und eine hohe mediale Aufmerksamkeit genießt. Diese Bühne nutzen wir, um auf das großartige Engagement der rund 1,5 Millionen Feuerwehrleute im Zusammenwirken mit Brandmeldeanlagen aufmerksam zu machen. Beim Feuerwehrtag mit den Bamberg Baskets haben wir die Begeisterung der Feuerwehrleute hautnah erfahren. Deshalb wollen wir dieses schöne Basketball-Erlebnis gemeinsam auch in anderen Hallen deutschlandweit genießen.“
Mindestens zehn Karten pro Heim- und Auswärtsspiel stellt der Titelsponsor für Feuerwehrmänner und -frauen zur Verfügung, die online abgerufen werden können, sobald der Spielplan für die Saison 2025/26 steht.

Brandmeldeanlagen, kurz BMA, alarmieren die Feuerwehr und weisen den Weg zum Einsatzort, sobald sie einen Brand erkennen. Dabei kommt es aber noch zu oft zu Fehlalarmen, was eine hohe Belastung für die teilweise ehrenamtlich tätigen Einsatzkräfte darstellt.
Bambergs Namenssponsor installiert deshalb die Anlagen nicht nur, sondern kümmert sich auch um den Betrieb. Und gibt darüber hinaus jetzt auch über den Basketball ein wenig an die Feuerwehr-Helden zurück.
