„Ich bekomme einen Anruf. Die Hausgemeinschaft hat mich abgelehnt“, erklärte Dunne in einem Video an ihre über 8 Millionen Follower. „Die Leute im Gebäude haben abgestimmt, dass sie mich nicht dort wohnen haben wollen. Das ist in Ordnung – ich bin nur so enttäuscht, das ist alles.“
Die Wohnung in einem historischen Gebäude von 1915 im New Yorker Stadtteil Upper West Side hätte ihr erster Immobilienkauf werden sollen.

Dunne und ihr Freund, MLB-Spieler Paul Skenes (23/Pittsburgh Pirates), hatten bereits eine Innenarchitektin beauftragt, um das Apartment stilvoll einzurichten. „Der Makler war sich so sicher. Also hatte ich schon extra jemanden engagiert. Ich wollte nicht meine alten College-Möbel in Babe Ruths Wohnung stellen – das wäre ja fast kriminell“, so Dunne.
Warum die Hausgemeinschaft sich gegen sie entschied, bleibt unklar. „Ehrlich gesagt, ich habe keine Ahnung. Es lag nicht am Finanziellen. Vielleicht mochten sie einfach keine öffentlichen Personen in ihrem Haus. Oder sie waren Alabama-Fans – und ich war ja an der LSU“, sagte sie mit einem Augenzwinkern.
