Devětadvacetiletá Siniaková usiluje o zisk 11. grandslamového titulu ve čtyřhře a čtvrtého z Wimbledonu. Vedle loňského triumfu s Američankou Townsendovovou tam také uspěla po boku krajanky Barbory Krejčíkové v letech 2018 a 2022. V ženské čtyřhře vyhrála ve Wimbledonu 16. zápas po sobě.
Siniaková s Townsendovou navázaly proti Babosové a Stefaniové na letošní vítězství z Roland Garros, kde maďarsko-brazilskou dvojici zdolaly 6:7, 6:3, 6:4. Dnes proti nasazeným desítkám uspěly za hodinu a 40 minut. Na turnaji zatím ztratily jediný set.
Česko-americká dvojice sice v prvním setu dvakrát nevyužila náskok brejku, ve zkrácené hře ale získala brzy vedení 4:0 a zvítězila 7:2. Ve druhé sadě už Siniaková s Townsendovou vývoj kontrolovaly. Brzy unikly do vedení 5:1 a duel dotáhly k vítězství.
Rodačka z Hradce Králové je letos ve hře o titul také ve smíšené čtyřhře. Tam se probojovala po boku Nizozemce Sema Verbeeka už do finále.
V něm ve čtvrtek znovu nastoupí proti Stefaniové, která hraje s Britem Joem Salisburym. Finále mixu uzavře program na centrálním dvorci po dvou semifinálových zápasech dvouhry žen.
