Wie bitter für den Titelverteidiger!
Beim ersten Freien Training vor dem Berlin E-Prix auf dem Tempelhofer Feld fährt Porsche-Pilot Pascal Wehrlein seinem Teamkollegen António Félix da Costa (33) kurz vor Schluss ins Heck. Der kracht gegen die Mauer, das Training muss abgebrochen werden.
„Das ist natürlich etwas, das wir überhaupt nicht sehen wollen“, sagt Porsche-Teamchef Florian Modlinger danach – und kündigt Gespräche an.
[–>Jetzt steht die Strafe fest: Pascal Wehrlein wird heute in der Startaufstellung für das Rennen (16.05 Uhr) um drei Positionen nach hinten versetzt! Zusätzlich bekommt er auch noch einen Strafpunkt. Ein weiterer Rückschlag im letzten Kampf um den Titel.
Nissan-Pilot Oliver Rowland hat heute in Berlin die Chance, Wehrlein vorzeitig vom Thron zu stoßen. Er führt in der Gesamtwertung mit großem Abstand (172 Punkte) vor seinen Konkurrenten Wehrlein (103) und da Costa (98).
Rowland benötigt nach dem Rennen am Samstag einen Vorsprung von 87 Punkten oder nach dem Rennen am Sonntag einen Abstand von 58 Punkten, um die Weltmeisterschaft vorzeitig perfekt zu machen.
Das ist passiert: Da Costa überholt Wehrlein beim Training in der letzten Kurve. Dann zieht Wehrlein hinter ihm an, fährt dem Portugiesen hinten rein. Durch die Berührung wird da Costa in die Mauer geschleudert, seine rechte Front wird beschädigt. „Ich wurde von Pascal angefahren. Ich bin in der Mauer“, sagt da Costa über Team-Funk.

Sein Renningenieur darauf: „Ich habe dir gesagt, dass er sich vorbereitet.“ Da Costa entgegnet: „Ja, er hat sich vorbereitet, aber er war vorne und hat dann in der letzten Kurve angehalten.“
Porsche teilte auf Anfrage von SPORT BILD mit, dass es beiden Fahrern gut geht.
