Teď už je ale situace pro úřadování v kleci značně příznivější. Dvaatřicetiletý Procházka na konci června zdárně dokončil magisterské studium na Fakultě sportovních studií Masarykovy univerzity v Brně a v dohledné době by se mohl dočkat dalšího souboje, již osmého v UFC, kde drží bilanci 5 výher a 2 porážek. Před několika týdny už dokonce naskočil do přípravy, která má jediný cíl – zápas.
„Zatím jsou ve hře dva soupeři – Carlos Ulberg a Khalil Rountree Jr.,“ informuje Sport.cz o pokrocích v jednání Procházkův trenér a manažer Martin Karaivanov. „Zápas směřujeme na některý z podzimních galavečerů, ale zatím není nic stoprocentně potvrzené. Čekám na UFC,“ doplňuje.

Novozélanďan Ulberg v tuto chvíli okupuje třetí místo žebříčku polotěžké váhy, figuruje tedy těsně za Procházkou. 34letý bývalý kickboxer si po nedávném skalpu legendárního Jana Blachowicze jasně stanovil cestu za titulem a nikterak nebral ohled na jména, jež se před ním nacházejí. „Mám nejdelší šňůru bez porážky a jediné, co mi chybí, je titulová šance. Na tom mi teď záleží,“ vykládal na tiskové konferenci.
Atraktivní bitvu by slibovalo i Procházkovo měření sil s o tři roky starším Američanem. Právě z této příčky rovněž pokukuje po šampionském opasku, o nějž neúspěšně zápolil loni v napínavém souboji proti již bývalému šampionovi Alexu Pereirovi.
Nejbližší dny či týdny by tedy mohly odhalit, na kterého z těchto bojovníků se pro řežbu s Procházkou ukáže prstem. Dá se však předpokládat, že se český samuraj porve na některém z číslovaných galavečerů. Pro podzimní termín připadají v úvahu z dosud vypsaných akcí turnaje UFC 320 5. října v Las Vegas nebo UFC 321 26. října v Abú Dhabí.
Nadále se čeká také na první titulovou obhajobu šampiona divize do 93 kilo Magomeda Ankalajeva, jenž v březnu sesadil z trůnu zmíněného Brazilce Pereiru. Sebevědomý Dagestánec na sociálních platformách vyzýval do bojiště hned několik potenciálních soupeřů, zatím se ale přijetí nabídky nedočkal. Ve hře by mohla být i odveta právě proti rodákovi ze Sao Paula.
