Neuer Klub, neue Liga – und ein großer Traum: Handball-Nationalspieler Juri Knorr (24) startet in Dänemark durch! Am Dienstag hatte der Spielmacher seinen ersten Arbeitstag beim dänischen Spitzenklub Aalborg Handbold.
Bei der Lauftrainingseinheit am Donnerstag waren es knapp 30 Grad. Und wir sehen unseren DHB-Star plötzlich „oben ohne“! Zusammen mit seinen Kollegen läuft er oberkörperfrei über einen Sportplatz, wie sein neuer Verein bei Instagram zeigt.
[–>„Verglichen mit Schleswig-Holstein war das Wetter auf jeden Fall ein Traum“, spielt er lachend auf den deutschen „Sommer“ an. Wie sein Start lief: „Es läuft soweit alles ganz gut. Ich bin gespannt, wie jetzt alles wird. Aber das ist eine wirklich gute Mannschaft.“
Der Wechsel ist ein Karriere-Meilenstein. Denn zum ersten Mal spielt Knorr bei einem Verein, der ganz oben angreifen will – in der Champions League!
„Das ist eine große Sache für mich!“ Sein Vertrag bei Aalborg läuft seit dem 1. Juli. Im Verein mit Titelhunger will Knorr jetzt richtig durchstarten. Im Video mit Mitspieler David Späth verrät er: „Ich will das Optimum rausholen.“

Schon vor dem Umzug nach Dänemark war klar: Knorr brennt auf die neue Herausforderung. „Dort ist viel Handball-Know-How – ich kann da viel lernen“, sagt er.
Und das Umfeld passt: Aalborg holte vergangene Saison das Double – Meisterschaft und Pokal. Kein Zufall! Seit 2010 gewann der Verein achtmal die Liga, dreimal den Pokal und sechsmal den Supercup.
Ein echter Titel-Garant – mit Stars wie Niklas Landin, Sander Sagosen und Lukas Nilsson. Neben Knorr kamen auch Patrick Helland Anderson (Elverum/NOR), Alexander Blonz (GOG), Tobias Nielsen (Ringsted) und Vetle Rönningen (Skjern) neu dazu.
Jetzt geht’s für den Nationalspieler zum ersten Mal in die Königsklasse – die Champions League! Sein Vertrag läuft drei Jahre.

Knorr weiß, was auf ihn zukommt: „Aalborg ist ein großer Verein, der jedes Spiel gewinnen will. Der Druck gehört dazu – den suche ich auch.“
Am Dienstag ging’s los: Leistungstests und erste Einheit im Trainingszentrum Gigantium. Mit dabei: der laut Klubdirektor Jan Larsen „teuerste und beste Kader der Vereinsgeschichte“.
Die Ferien sind vorbei – jetzt zählt’s für Knorr und Co.
