Facincani perdeu as esperanças de título do Palmeiras no Campeonato Brasileiro. Após a estreia com empate sem gols contra o Botafogo, no Allianz Parque, o comentarista criticou bastante a atuação da equipe e o técnico Abel Ferreira.
Na janela de transferências, o Palmeiras foi o time brasileiro que mais investiu. Para Facincani, a equipe já era para estar em viés de evolução. Entretanto, o jornalista vê futebol de rebaixado.
“O Palmeiras gastou R$ 450 milhões em contratações e era para o time estar voando. Ou minimamente você olhar um viés de evolução. Mas o Palmeiras não tem nada. Tira o distintivo e coloca um cara que estava fora do país para assistir, ele aponta que o time vai cair. Essa é a sensação”, disparou.
Depois da estreia no Campeonato Brasileiro, o técnico português protagonizou nova polêmica ao criticar o torcedor do Palmeiras. Logo depois, Abel Ferreira foi às redes sociais e se desculpou. Para Facincani, as palavras não convencem e o maior pedido de perdão ainda não aconteceu.
“Todo mundo já errou e já pediu desculpas, mas palavras não convencem mais do que atitudes. É a quarta vez que ele comete um equívoco e pede desculpas publicamente, mas continua sendo intragável”, afirmou.
“O maior pedido de desculpas, que foi a história do Al-Sadd, o Abel não fez. Esse assunto mudou o rumo e foi o divisor de águas de uma era vitoriosa para uma era que está na vala comum”, cravou Facincani.

O Verdão agora tem a estreia da Libertadores pela frente. Nesta quinta-feira (3), a equipe visita o Sporting Cristal, no Peru. A segunda rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro também será fora de casa. No domingo, o Palmeiras encara o Sport, longe dos seus domínios.
