The August 7 training session between the Dolphins and Bears in Lake Forest was anything but calm. Chicago’s defense, known for limiting explosive plays, made that clear from the first whistle. Miami’s offense, led by Tua Tagovailoa, was cornered by aggressive coverage and complex defensive schemes that tested his accuracy.
Coach Mike McDaniel wasn’t surprised by the intensity: “It gets spicy, it gets scrappy,” he said. And it certainly did. Tua, who arrived at camp with enviable accuracy stats, ended up throwing three interceptions, including one in the red zone to linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. A tough blow for an offense that prides itself on efficiency.

While Tua struggled to find rhythm, another moment caught fans’ attention: cornerback Jack Jones fell after getting tangled with a receiver at the goal line. He was carted off, but what surprised everyone was the smile he flashed at his teammates. “Could be cramps,” joked reporter David Furones on X.
Later, Jones confirmed he was fine: “Yeah, it was just a cramp, I appreciate it,” he replied to a concerned fan. His positive attitude resonated with followers, reminding everyone that mindset can be as powerful as talent in the NFL.
