Dono de uma dívida que beira R$ 1 bilhão, o São Paulo está perto de falir no futebol brasileiro. A afirmação partiu de Flávio Prado durante o programa “Canelada”, na Rádio Jovem Pan. No debate com Thiago Asmar, o experiente cronista esportivo apontou Flamengo e Palmeiras como bons exemplos que deveriam ser seguidos por seus rivais e não à toa dominam o futebol brasileiro nos últimos anos.
Além do Tricolor, o jornalista lembra que o Corinthians vive um cenário muito parecido com o rival paulista. A crise financeira do Timão é ainda mais impactante pela política sempre efervescente e que culminou com o impeachment recente de Augusto Melo na presidência.
“Dá uma olhada nos balancetes, veja quem está se estruturando e quem está falindo. Flamengo e Palmeiras se acertaram depois que eles se equilibraram. Eles estão cada vez mais estruturados e outros cada vez mais falidos. São Paulo está cada vez mais no buraco, na falência. Aliás, se fosse um país normal, São Paulo e Corinthians já estariam falidos, mas aqui eles ainda dão um jeitinho”, disse Flávio Prado.

Campeões da Copinha 2025, Matheus Alves e Lucas Ferreira não puderam desfrutar mais de vestir a camisa do São Paulo entre os profissionais. Em destaque na mídia, ambos acabaram negociados nesta janela de transferências por cifras que muitos entenderam ser abaixo daquilo que projetavam.
Aos 19 anos, o jovem atacante foi vendido ao Shakhtar Donetsk, da Ucrânia, por dez milhões de euros (pouco mais de R$ 63 milhões). Dono de 80% dos direitos econômicos do jogador, o Tricolor ficou com oito milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 50,5 milhões). O montante final ainda pode subir dependendo de metas estabelecidas.
Lucas Ferreira deixou o São Paulo com 23 jogos, um gol e uma assistência. Matheus Alves, também criado em Cotia, se tornou reforço do CSKA, da Rússia. O meia foi negociado por 6 milhões de euros (R$ 38,7 milhões), mas o clube paulista ficou com um valor menor.

Carlos Belmonte afirmou que a venda de jogadores é uma das formas de atingir o maior objetivo do São Paulo na temporada: ter superávit. A eliminação precoce na Copa do Brasil deixou o caixa comprometido, obrigando o clube a buscar outras receitas para fechar o ano no verde.
“Temos que chegar em fases mais avançadas da Libertadores, ou vender mais atletas, ou ter mais bilheteria.” É tudo um pacote. Temos como convicção que vamos terminar o ano com superávit. De que forma? “Da forma que for possível”, justificou o dirigente.

Apesar das dificuldades, Flávio Prado viu como justa a classificação do São Paulo para as quartas de final da Libertadores. No mata-mata, o jornalista entende que o time paulista pode sonhar com o título continental, mas descarta completamente qualquer chance no Brasileirão. Para ele, a Série A privilegia equipes com elencos mais robustos, o que não enxerga no Tricolor.
