Naposledy se Ilett nechal ostříhat 5. října, kštici má tedy už přes 330 dní. „Myslel jsem, že to bude jen malá legrace na pár měsíců, ale protáhlo se to mnohem déle, než jsem čekal,“ řekl Španěl CNN Sport, která s ním o neobvyklé výzvě pořídila rozhovor.
Pravidla jsou jednoduchá: pět výher musí přijít v jakýchkoli soutěžních zápasech, přátelská utkání v létě se nepočítala – i když by to stejně nic nezměnilo, protože United vyhráli jen dvě ze sedmi.

Těžko říct, kdy se konečně bude moct do holičství vydat. Po nepovedené loňské sezoně se United zatím nedaří ani letos. Po prvních třech kolech Premier League mají na kontě pouze jednu výhru, na pomyslné dno klesli nedávnou prohrou s Grimsby v Ligovém poháru. S týmem ze čtvrté ligy vypadli po penaltách.
Navíc se letos nekvalifikovali do žádné evropské soutěže. „Podíval jsem se dál a myslím, že mezi koncem listopadu a půlkou prosince je série zápasů, které vypadají docela hratelně,“ odkazoval se Illet s malou nadějí v hlase na utkání s Evertonem, Crystal Palace, West Hamem, Burnley, Bournemouthem a Aston Villou.
