Malik Nabers is the latest NFL player to suffer the consequences of playing at MetLife Stadium, one of 15 NFL stadiums that do not have natural grass and instead use turf.
The incident happened late in the second quarter when Jaxson Dart attempted a deep pass to Nabers along the right sideline. As Nabers tried to plant his right foot and elevate, he went down immediately, holding his knee in visible pain.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported shortly after that the rookie receiver is “believed to have torn his ACL.” The team has not yet released an official diagnosis.
MetLife destroys ACL’s and Achilles
Since Nabers’ injury, many fans have blamed MetLife’s turf and pointed out the stadium’s history of devastating ACL and Achilles injuries.
Since the start of the 2020 season, at least 15 players, including Nabers (torn ACL not yet confirmed), have suffered ACL or Achilles injuries at MetLife. These injuries are almost always season ending.
