Hablamos del Trionda, balón oficial del Mundial 2026, presentado oficialmente en Nueva York, y que trae bajo su piel hecha por Adidas toda la tecnología posible para acabar con el doble o triple toque en el lanzamiento de un penalti, saber el ‘frame’ a utilizar porque es capaz de determinar el momento exacto del golpeo el balón e incluso cuando un futbolista toca el balón con la mano.
Trionda celebra a las naciones anfitrionas del torneo que son Canadá, México y Estados Unidos. Fabricado con una nueva construcción de cuatro paneles para un rendimiento superior, la geometría fluida del diseño replica las ondas representadas en el nombre oficial del balón. Cada panel incluye los colores nacionales: rojo, azul y verde, que se conectan formando un triángulo en el centro del panel, simbolizando la unión de tres países para albergar el torneo por primera vez.
Tres colores, tres países
Cada país anfitrión también está representado mediante iconografía significativa: una estrella para EE. UU, una hoja de arce para Canadá y un águila para México. Estos íconos aparecen como gráficos llamativos en los paneles, además de estar sutilmente grabados en la base mate del balón, creando una textura detallada visible de cerca. El diseño se completa con detalles dorados en homenaje al trofeo de la Copa Mundial FIFA y con elementos que delinean los motivos en la superficie del balón.
Desde el punto de vista del rendimiento, la construcción de cuatro paneles está diseñada con costuras profundas y líneas estratégicamente grabadas, junto con los íconos en relieve de los países, creando una superficie que garantiza estabilidad óptima en vuelo al distribuir de manera uniforme la resistencia del aire.
Sam Handy, Gerente General de adidas Football, comentó: “Con el Trionda, cada detalle tiene un impacto. Las texturas en relieve, los gráficos en capas y los colores vibrantes hacen que el balón destaque al instante, creando un diseño que se siente vivo”.
Tecnología al servicio del fútbol
La otra gran novedad del balón es que incorpora la última evolución de la Tecnología de Balón Conectado de adidas, con un innovador sistema de chip montado lateralmente. El sensor de movimiento IMU de 500Hz ahora se encuentra dentro de una capa especialmente creada en uno de los cuatro paneles, en lugar de estar montado en el centro mediante un sistema de suspensión. La adición de contrapesos en los otros tres paneles garantiza estabilidad y equilibrio en el vuelo.
La tecnología envía datos precisos al sistema de Árbitro Asistente de Video (VAR) en tiempo real, lo que, combinado con datos de posición de los jugadores y mediante inteligencia artificial, ayuda a los árbitros a tomar decisiones de fuera de juego más rápidas. Desarrollada en estrecha colaboración con Kinexon, la Tecnología de Balón Conectado de adidas también puede ayudar a los árbitros a identificar cada toque individual del balón, reduciendo el tiempo necesario para resolver incidentes específicos, como posibles manos.
Cámaras conectadas
El balón recibirá información de hasta doce cámaras (dependerá de cada recinto pero siempre un mínimo de ocho), dispuestas en los estadios, conectadas con el sensor de movimiento del chip prodigioso que llevará el balón en su interior.
El Fussballiebe fue el balón de la Eurocopa 2024.
Si la pasada, Eurocopa, el Fussballiebe, balón oficial del torneo, era capaz de hasta detectar el toque del balón con una mano, en esta ocasión va más allá y será un factor determinante en las decisiones de los colegiados, que llegarán con más rapidez y plenas garantías, gracias al chip que tienen en su interior la directa conexión con la VOR. Eso sí lo que no tendrá el balón será un GPS que determine la trayectoria, pero sí que tendrá la tecnología de la línea de gol.
