Der Schweizer spielte 1995/96 und von 2000 bis 2002 für den Rekordmeister – in der Saison 1996/97 spielte er für Inter Mailand. Im SPORT BILD-Interview verrät der ehemalige Mittelfeld-Profi, warum die Italiener für ihn im Duell mit den Bayern am Dienstag bessere Karten haben.

Herr Sforza, Bayern oder Inter – welcher Ihrer Ex-Klubs schafft es ins Champions-League-Halbfinale?

Ciriaco Sforza (55): „Wenn ich die Mannschaften jetzt so sehe, ist Inter für mich Favorit.“

Warum?

„Die Mailänder haben seit zwei, drei Jahren eine eingespielte Einheit und mit dem 3-5-2 ein für sie perfektes System gefunden. Die Abwehr um Alessandro Bastoni steht sicher, die Dreierkette im Mittelfeld mit Nicolò Barella ist top und die Doppelspitze Marcus Thuram und Lautaro Martínez immer brandgefährlich. Diese Mannschaft wird den Bayern große Probleme bereiten.“

[–>In der Königsklasse konnte diese Saison nur Leverkusen gegen Inter gewinnen. Auf wen kommt es bei den Münchnern besonders an, damit ihnen das auch gelingt?

„Torjäger Harry Kane und Zauberfuß Jamal Musiala sind für mich Schlüsselspieler. Aber Bayern muss auch defensiv in jedem Moment hellwach sein und zweimal einen Top-Tag erwischen, um Inter zu schlagen.“

In der Bundesliga hat Bayern zuletzt gegen Bochum (2:3) und Union Berlin (1:1) gepatzt. Leverkusen ist wieder auf Tuchfühlung mit dem Tabellenführer. Wo sehen Sie die Probleme bei den Münchnern?

„Die personelle Rotation kann natürlich Unruhe reinbringen. Aber das, was Bayern immer stark gemacht hat, ist: Wenn es drauf ankommt in großen Spielen, sind sie da. Und ich sage: Wenn die Bayern das Hinspiel zu Hause mit 2:0 gewinnen, dann kommen sie weiter.“

Welche Rolle spielt Trainer Vincent Kompany?

„Ich ziehe jetzt schon den Hut vor Vincent. Mit welcher Ruhe und Abgeklärtheit er als junger Trainer bei so einem Weltklub auftritt, imponiert mir. Auch bei Rückschlägen bleibt er souverän. Aber wissen Sie, was das Wichtigste ist?“

Was?

„Dass beim FC Bayern alle – Spieler, Bosse und auch das Umfeld – hinter ihm stehen. Das trägt ihn, das braucht er für seine Entwicklung zum internationalen Top-Trainer.“

Ihr Schweizer Landsmann Yann Sommer wechselte im August 2023 von Bayern zu Inter, ist dort seitdem die Nummer 1. Er wurde im ersten Jahr Meister und ist aktuell Tabellenführer. In München hatte er in der Rückrunde zuvor den verletzten Manuel Neuer ersetzt und war öfter in die Kritik geraten. Passt Sommer besser nach Mailand?

„Ich denke, dass Yann im falschen Moment beim FC Bayern war. Es lief im gesamten Klub zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht rund. Bei Inter hat er es gleich allen Kritikern gezeigt, stellt seine Qualität kontinuierlich unter Beweis. Er passt einfach besser zu Inter. Das System mit Dreier- oder Fünferkette liegt ihm. Trotzdem hätte ich ihm zugetraut, sich bei Bayern gegen Neuer durchzusetzen.“
