England-Legende Peter Crouch (44) sorgte jetzt mit einer Enthüllung über seine Ehefrau, Model Abbey Clancey (39), für Lacher. Im gemeinsamen Podcast „Therapy Crouch“ erzählte der ehemalige Stürmer, dass seine Abbey Liverpool-Star Alisson Becker (32) mit einer Frau verwechselte und für einen Moment sogar eifersüchtig war.
„Ich möchte mich hier nur mal über deine voreiligen Schlüsse beschweren“, begann Crouch seine Anekdote. „Wir haben gestern Abend ein Liverpool-Spiel gesehen, und ich dachte: Oh mein Gott, Alisson ist wirklich on fire.“

Das machte seine Frau hellhörig und sie fragte pikiert: „Wer zur Hölle ist sie? Alisson, wer ist sie und warum ist sie on fire?“ Während Crouch die lustige Szene beschreibt, können er und seine Frau ihr Lachen nicht zurückhalten.
Aber es ging noch weiter. Crouch: „Abbey fragte noch einmal: ‚Wer ist sie? Alisson, was ist das für ein Name?‘“ Seine Antwort: „Das ist der Torwart von Liverpool und er hat einige großartige Paraden gezeigt.“

Die lustige Geschichte ging schnell viral. Fußballfans und Podcast-Hörer feiern den unbeschwerten und lockeren Schlagabtausch, der zum Markenzeichen des Podcasts geworden ist. Kurz nach seinem Wechsel nach Liverpool 2005 fiel ihm in einem Hotel eine junge Frau auf. „An der Rezeption war ein Mädchen, das sehr gut aussah. Ich konnte gar nicht glauben, dass sie mich die ganze Zeit anlächelt“, beschrieb Crouch in der „Daily Mail“ den Moment.
Am nächsten Tag berichtete er seinen Teamkollegen aufgeregt von der Begegnung, bis sich schließlich herausstellte, dass es sich bei der Frau um Nagore Aranburu (45) handelte, damalige Freundin und heutige Ehefrau von Leverkusens Meistertrainer Xabi Alonso (43).
