André Rizek está esperançoso de que o Botafogo possa ser novamente aquele time competitivo do ano passado. Apesar de um recorte ainda curto, o jornalista imagina que Renato Paiva já conseguiu dar uma cara, uma pequena identidade ao Glorioso.
Durante o programa “Seleção Sportv”, o jornalista fez questão de destacar a evolução da equipe carioca com seu novo treinador. A vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o Carabobo, na Libertadores, não foi das mais tranquilas como se imaginava, mas o Fogão foi premiado pela insistência até o fim.
“De fato, não foi uma atuação brilhante, mas mesmo assim foi buscar até o fim uma vitória como aconteceu. Se ele empatar, poderia se complicar seriamente. Agora, é um baita avanço comparado ao que o Rafael Paiva encontrou, hoje tem uma cara. Antes não tinha”, disse Rizek.

Atual campeão, o Botafogo fez o dever de casa e venceu a primeira na Libertadores 2025. Com gols de Patrick de Paula e Matheus Martins, construíram o triunfo importante para o Fogão.
Com a vitória, o Botafogo soma os seus primeiros três pontos no Grupo A e fica em terceiro lugar, empatado com o Estudiantes, da Argentina.
Erick Faria, comentarista, acredita que o Fogão ainda vai alternar bons e maus jogos, o que entende ser normal para um início de trabalho.
“Esse time ainda vai oscilar muito, ainda vai deixar o torcedor preocupado em alguns momentos. Mas é um time que está buscando, pelo menos nessa fase da temporada, uma estabilidade, para tentar depois evoluir”, analisou.

No sábado (12), o Botafogo enfrenta o Red Bull Bragantino, às 16h (de Brasília), no estádio Nabi Abi Chedid, em Bragança Paulista, pela terceira rodada do Brasileirão. Na tabela, o Fogão aparece em quinto lugar com quatro pontos.
Pela Libertadores, encara o Estudiantes-ARG, dia 23, às 21h30, na Argentina.
