Der Spielmacher der Rhein-Neckar Löwen hatte nach dem enttäuschenden vierten Platz beim Lidl Final4 am Wochenende einen Rundumschlag gegen die Schiedsrichter und den Videobeweis („Weshalb gibt es in unserer Sportart einen Videobeweis, wenn die technische Umsetzung auf dem Niveau eines Oberligaspiels ist“) auf Instagram veröffentlicht.

Nun sagt HBL-Justiziar Andreas Thiel (65) zu SPORT BILD: „Das war eine private Äußerung auf einem privaten Kanal. Sie erfolgte weder auf dem Spielfeld noch an der Wettkampfstätte. Er hat sich beschwert, aber nicht beleidigend. Es war eine Meinungsäußerung, und die verfolgen wir nicht.“

Knorr hatte direkt nach dem kleinen Finale in der Halle sogar einen Außenseiter-Bonus vermutet: „Klar, Balingen ist ein Zweitligist, aber sie haben hier gezeigt, wie viel Qualität sie haben. Ich glaube, sie brauchen das nicht, dass sie am Anfang fünf, ich weiß nicht, wie viele Pfiffe für sich bekommen, die eigentlich 50:50 sind. Ganz komische Pfiffe, die ich so lange nicht erlebt habe auf dem Niveau. So viel in eine Seite und das hat mich schon gewundert.“

Der Geschäftsführer des Tabellenführers Füchse Berlin zu SPORT BILD: „Ich kann Juri verstehen, weil wenn ich sechs oder sieben Mal zum Video-Assistenten rausrenne und immer mit einer Zeitstrafe rauskomme, dann darf man das auch mal hinterfragen und man darf dem Frust auch mal freien Lauf lassen.“
Hanning will das Schiri-Duo nicht aus der Verantwortung lassen: „Ich finde das völlig in Ordnung. Und das müssen die beiden sich auch anziehen. Alle stehen unter Druck. 20.000 Leute. Du willst keinen Fehler machen. Dann gehst du ans Gerät, dann gehst du noch mal ans Gerät. Das hätten sie besser machen können. Das muss man ehrlich sagen. Das war keine Gala-Vorstellung von den beiden.“

Seine Begründung: „Ich glaube, da müssen wir uns auch einig sein, dass der Sport immer schneller wird. Wir müssen uns auch einig sein: Das ist immer komplexer. Ich war gerade beim Future-IHF-Symposium. Da war auch die Diskussion, ob wir einen dritten Schiedsrichter dazu nehmen sollten. Da war meine Antwort: Mir reichen schon zwei, die Fehler machen. Da brauche ich nicht noch einen dritten Schiedsrichter auf dem Feld.“
