Ceará x Bahia pela 5ª rodada da Copa do Nordeste 2024 (Tiago Caldas / EC Bahia)
Na próxima quarta-feira (26), Bahia e Ceará entram em campo em jogo adiado da 4ª rodada da Copa do Nordeste, em partida que será disputada na Casa de Apostas Arena Fonte Nova às 19h (horário de Brasília).
Os dois clubes chegam para este duelo embalados pelos títulos estaduais. E entram em campo podendo garantir vaga nas quartas de final do torneio de forma antecipada.
Quem vencer a partida chegará aos 13 pontos e será o primeiro classificado do Grupo B de forma antecipada. Já o empate não garante vaga, mas deixa os dois clubes com boas chances de classificação.
Situação do Grupo B da Copa do Nordeste
Com exceção do Sampaio Corrêa, os demais participantes do grupo ainda têm condições de classificação para a fase de quartas de final da competição.
Importante frisar que pelo fato de ter disputado a pré-Libertadores, o Bahia tem dois jogos a menos que os adversários.
O empate no confronto direto só não garante a vaga a ambos pelo fato do Confiança, que está com sete pontos, tem um jogo pendente, justamente contra a equipe baiana. Dessa forma, o Dragão ainda poderia ultrapassar tanto o time baiano como o cearense.
Como chegam Bahia e Ceará para o confronto da Copa do Nordeste?
Os dois times vivem bom momento na temporada e chegam motivados para essa partida, após superarem os rivais locais nas decisões estaduais. O Esquadrão garantiu o título do Campeonato Baiano ao superar o Vitória pelo placar agregado de 3 a 1 enquanto o Vozão conquistou a taça do Campeonato Cearense frente o Fortaleza, com um 2 a 1 na soma dos placares.
Ambos terão um calendário puxado em 2025. Além da Copa do Nordeste, onde buscam vaga na próxima fase, tanto Bahia quanto Ceará disputarão a Série A do Brasileirão e a Copa do Brasil. O time baiano entra direto na 3ª fase enquanto o clube cearense segue na competição após eliminar o Sergipe e Confiança, ambos nas penalidades.
A equipe treinada por Rogério Ceni ainda terá mais uma competição pela frente, com a disputa da fase de grupos da Copa Libertadores da América.
