Rivaldo foi, para muitos, o jogador mais importante do pentacampeonato da seleção brasileira em 2002. O próprio técnico Luiz Felipe Scolari o considerou mais importante do que Ronaldo Nazário na inesquecível campanha.

O camisa 10 do Brasil na Coréia do Sul e no Japão aproveitou para exaltar o Fenômeno, em postagem nas suas redes sociais. Rivaldo compartilhou uma fala de Ronaldo para o Charla Podcast.

Ronaldo admitiu que Rivaldo jogou mais que ele na Copa 2002

Na declaração, o camisa 9, que foi o artilheiro da Copa do Mundo de 2002 e autor dos dois gols na final contra a Alemanha, também reconheceu que Rivaldo foi mais importante do que ele mesmo no torneio da Fifa.

“Talvez eu tenha sido mais determinante do que ele por causa dos dois gols da final, ele foi importante nas jogadas também, mas eu acho que ele jogou mais do que eu na Copa. Jogou muito”, enalteceu Ronaldo, destacando a doação do Rivaldo ao voltar mais para marcar.

“Era muito fácil atuar ao lado de Ronaldo”

O ex-meia-atacante de Palmeiras, Corinthians e Barcelona demonstrou gratidão ao Fenômeno. “Fico muito feliz com as palavras do Ronaldo, reconhecendo minha importância na Copa de 2002. Mas, acima de tudo, sei que fiz parte de um grupo especial, onde todos os jogadores foram fundamentais para a conquista do título”, escreveu Rivaldo no Instagram.

Ao enfatizar a união e a determinação do grupo de jogadores comandado por Felipão no Mundial da Ásia, o ex-jogador de 52 anos elegeu Ronaldo como o maior atacante que foi seu companheiro durante toda a sua carreira.

“E preciso destacar o Ronaldo Fenômeno. Para mim, ele foi o melhor atacante com quem já joguei. Era muito fácil atuar ao lado dele, pela sua inteligência, posicionamento e capacidade de decisão, como mostrou na final contra a Alemanha”, exaltou Rivaldo.
