O Santos deverá buscar no meio do ano, com a reabertura da janela internacional de transferências, trazer reforços para a sequência da temporada, focando especialmente a disputa do Brasileirão Série A. E dois nomes de jogadores estariam na pauta do Peixe, segundo o Uol Esporte.
De acordo com o portal, o zagueiro Lucas Veríssimo e o volante Willian Arão estão sendo monitorados pelos santistas com a intenção de tentar, nos próximos meses, buscar fazer propostas aos dois jogadores e ter alguma antecipação em relação aos rivais na busca por reforços.
Veríssimo sonho antigo
O nome de Lucas Veríssimo, ex-atleta do clube e atualmente no Al Duhail (Catar), está nas considerações do Santos por um desejo do presidente Marcelo Teixeira. O mandatário quer a volta do atleta para a Vila Belmiro, ainda mais com a defesa sendo um setor ao qual Pedro Caixinha demanda a contratação de reforços.
No entanto, para trazer Veríssimo de volta, o clube teria que investir forte para fazer a proposta. Como ainda não há previsão de quando a tentativa pelo zagueiro aconteça, ainda não há planos de como tal negociação acontecerá, se será em definitivo ou empréstimo.
Arão em fim de contrato
Já a chance de Willian Arão ser contratado pelo Peixe tem mais facilidades e poderia demandar esforços que não envolvem investimentos financeiros. O motivo é que o jogador tem contrato a se encerrar no final da temporada com o Panathinaikos (Grécia) e poderia chegar à Vila Belmiro sem demandar custos.
O ex-Flamengo também é sonho do Santos, e chegou a ser tentado no começo da temporada, sem sucesso. Agora, a potencial nova tentativa poderá dar mais opções a Caixinha tanto no meio campo como na zaga, onde jogou algumas veze.s
