Jedná se sice o dva těžce porovnatelné momenty, ani v jednom případě však 26letý forvard nenašel u disciplinární komise pochopení.
Kodýtek ve 46. minutě utkání s týmem SaiPa za stavu 1:2 napadal obránce Salminena. Chtěl ho trefit tělem, jenže hit se mu nevydařil. „Kodýtkovy brusle se odlepí od ledu. Hráč provádí svůj zákrok prudkým odrazem směrem nahoru, navíc se zdviženou pravou paží,“ konstatovala disciplinárka finské Liigy.

„Zasahuje svou pravou paží Salminena do hlavy, přičemž zbytek jeho těla soupeře téměř zcela míjí. Disciplinární komise má za to, že Kodýtek svým zákrokem bezohledně a zcela úmyslně ohrozil soupeře a vzhledem k závažnosti zákroku musí být udělen přísný trest,“ uvedlo vedení soutěže na svém webu.
Disciplinárka tak českému reprezentantovi napařila trest na pět utkání, další dva duely mu přihodila kvůli tomu, že už byl v tomto ročníku trestán za zmiňované kopnutí. To je třeba pro porovnání s Tipsport extraligou za takový faul pořádně přísný flastr, navíc v nejdůležitější části sezony.
Kodýtek tak v tomto ročníku přijde kvůli distancům celkem o 14 utkání. Záleží tedy, jestli Helsinky dokážou přejít přes prvního soupeře. Čtvrtý tým základní části prošel přímo do čtvrtfinále, proti páté SaiPě je papírovým favoritem. Úvodní utkání však nezvládl, po Kodýtkově vyloučení v oslabení inkasoval a nakonec prohrál 1:4. Série pokračuje v pátek v Lappeenrantě, kde SaiPa sídlí.
Plzeňský odchovanec, jenž působí ve Finsku druhým rokem, v aktuální sezoně nasbíral coby centr druhé formace 35 bodů (9+26) v 54 zápasech. Za národní tým startoval na turnaji Karjala a Švédských hrách, v pěti utkáních nebodoval.
Jméno sušického rodáka se skloňuje jako možný letní příchod do organizace Třince. Helsinky však zároveň mají možnost uplatnit na Kodýtka opci a pojistit si ho i pro nadcházející ročník.
