Právě kvůli kombinézám a jejich podvodným úpravám po oficiálním očipování vypukl skandál na nedávném MS v Trondeheimu, kde byli diskvalifikováni po závodě na velkém můstku původně druhý Marius Lindvik a pátý Johann André Forfang.
Norové se přiznali k podvodu poté, co bylo zveřejněno video pořízené přes okno hotelu, z něhož je zřejmé, jak tehdejší reprezentační kouč Magnus Brevig přihlíží nepovolenému přešívání kombinéz. FIS následně Lindvika, Forfanga a další tři členy týmu suspendovala.
V Planici tak Norové potvrdili pověst reprezentace s největším počtem diskvalifikací za uplynulých deset let. Během nich byli norští skokané diskvalifikováni hned čtyřicetkrát, v tomto pořadí druhé Slovinsko má 38 diskvalifikací, Rakousko stejně jako USA 26, Polsko 24, Japonsko 21 a Německo jen 9.
Dvacetiletý Langmo je ve Světovém poháru nováčkem, debutoval minulý týden v Lahti. Po jeho diskvalifikaci se do hlavního závodu nedostal jediný Nor.
