Juan Pablo Vojvoda festejou bastante a vitória do Fortaleza por 2 a 0 sobre o Fluminense, sábado, na Arena Castelão, pela primeira rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Cobrado pelos torcedores, o treinador argentino conseguiu dar uma boa resposta diante dos cariocas.
Além disso, o comandante cearense valorizou o resultado por ter sido diante de um adversário de hierarquia e que irá disputar a parte de cima da tabela.
“Precisávamos vencer o Fluminense, um adversário que vai brigar por posições importantes no Brasileirão. A equipe entrou ligada no primeiro tempo, fez uma grande primeira parte, fez gols. Precisávamos demonstrar a nós mesmos que somos um time que responde, que quando tem que lutar, se apresenta e dá a cara”, disse Vojvoda.
Na entrevista coletiva, antes de ser demitido, Mano Menezes admitiu ter sido surpreendido com a escalação do Fortaleza. O treinador não imaginava que o rival fosse montar um time com Marinho e Pikachu juntos.
“Foi uma novidade. Esperávamos até com o Pikachu, mas não sem o Moisés. A gente teve dificuldade para encaixar isso”, relatou.
Vojvoda mira estreia na Libertadores
Depois de estrear com o pé direito no Brasileirão, o Fortaleza agora espera ter um bom início também na fase de grupos da Libertadores. Na terça-feira, o Leão enfrentará o Racing-ARG em casa, às 21h30 (de Brasília).
“A gente espera ter o Castelão lotado, são aquelas noites de Libertadores que o torcedor gosta, comparece, vamos precisar do seu apoio.” Fortaleza é favorito? Não sei. É uma Copa Libertadores. “São equipes muito complicadas”, projetou Vojvoda.
Deyverson comemora resultado.
Em seu primeiro jogo pelo Fortaleza, Deyverson entrou no segundo tempo e pôde, por alguns minutos, sentir o calor da torcida do Leão.
“Bom demais começar com vitória. Eu sempre joguei contra e achei maravilhoso, e hoje jogando a favor, acho espetacular. Essa torcida é espetacular, não tem palavras. Estou feliz por começar com três pontos”, disse o jogador.
