La lucha por la Bota de Oro se ha puesto al rojo vivo. Mohamed Salah sigue viendo desde lo alto al resto de rivales. Pero por el retrovisor ve cómo se le acercan a pasos agigantados dos Miuras. Uno es Robert Lewandowski y el otro es Kylian Mbappé. Ambos futbolistas marcaron sendos dobletes en la última jornada de LaLiga para acortar distancias con el jugador del Liverpool, en un fin de semana en el que no hubo Premier League.

A los tres les quedan nueve partidos para disputarse el preciado galardón. Salah lleva 27 goles, lo que equivale a 54 puntos. Lewandowski suma 25 (50 puntos) y Mbappé 22 (44 puntos). Los goles anotados en las cinco ligas más fuertes (teniendo en cuenta el ranking UEFA) se valoran con dos puntos; los goles marcados en las ligas entre la sexta y la vigesimoprimera valen un punto y medio; el resto vale un punto.

Lewandowski lucha por la que sería su tercera Bota de Oro. Ya la ganó en 2021 y 2022, ambas como jugador del Bayern de Múnich. Marcó 41 y 35 goles, respectivamente. En 2020 fue segundo tras Immobile. Con 36 años, podría establecer un nuevo récord de longevidad en el galardón.

Mbappé y Salah no saben aún lo que es ganarla. El francés se quedó cerca en la temporada 2021-22, cuando logró 28 goles. Le superó, precisamente, Lewandowski. Quedó tercero en las dos últimas temporadas, con 29 y 27 dianas, respectivamente. El egipcio también se quedó a las puertas en la 2017-18. Anotó 32 tantos, pero no pudo con los 34 de Leo Messi.

A la fiesta también se ha unido Viktor Gyokeres. Actualmente es el que más goles lleva (30), pero cada tanto en la liga portuguesa vale 1,5 puntos, por lo que el valor acumulado es de 45. Esto coloca al sueco en tercer lugar. Le restan siete jornadas para dar la campanada. Se le antoja complicado, peo no imposible.

Ojo con Kane… y Dembélé
En la disputa hay más candidatos. Por los números que llevan y por la calidad que atesoran. Harry Kane es uno de ellos. Al último ganador y uno de los mejores goleadores de la última época no se le puede descartar y menos cuando se encuentra con los mismos números anotadores que Mbappé. Sin embargo, el inglés cuenta con la ligera desventaja de que en la Bundesliga restan siete jornadas.

Algo parecido le ocurre a Dembélé. En Francia quedan siete encuentros. El hecho de que en ambos campeonatos haya menos equipos es una desventaja clara. El jugador del PSG, el mejor goleador de lo que llevamos de 2025, lleva 21 goles (42 puntos).

Retegui y Haaland
Otros dos candidatos son un habitual y una sorpresa. El primero es Erling Haaland, que lleva 21 tantos (42 puntos). Sin embargo, la lesión que se produjo en el encuentro de la FA Cup ante el Bournemouth puede haber acabado con sus opciones. En cualquier caso, descartar tan pronto al noruego sería una negligencia.

The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to terms with the top power hitter remaining on the free agent market. The O's and first baseman Pete Alonso have agreed to a five-year contract worth $155 million, CBS Sports has confirmed. The deal does not include any opt outs, per the New York Post. The team has not yet announced the signing. The signing comes one day after it was reported the Orioles offered Kyle Schwarber the same five-year, $150 million contract he took to return to the Philadelphia Phillies.
