Arkansas Razorbacks basketball recently completed the program’s first season under head coach John Calipari. The Razorbacks went 22-14 during the regular season en route to earning a No. 10 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket. Calipari’s team pulled off a pair of upsets in the first two rounds, beating Kansas and St. John’s to advance to the Sweet 16. The Hawgs came up just short of a trip to the Elite Eight, losing to Texas Tech in overtime. Calipari and his staff have now turned their attention to rebuilding the Arkansas basketball roster in hopes of making an even deeper run next season.

Arkansas basketball roster news
Calipari built the bulk of his inaugural roster at Arkansas through the transfer portal. While Arkansas has been active in the portal, the Hawgs already put together a high-end high school recruiting class. Calipari signed three high school players in his class, including five-star prospects Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas. Acuff is the No. 1 ranked point guard and No. 5 overall prospect in the 2025 class, while Thomas is No. 2 combo guard and No. 12 overall prospect.
Several players are also expected to depart the program, with three players currently in the transfer portal. Among those set to leave Fayetteville is sophomore Zvonimir Ivisic. The 7-foot-2 forward followed Calipari to Arkansas after playing his freshman season for Kentucky. In his lone season with the Razorbacks, Ivisic averaged 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Ivisic joins Melo Sanchez and Casmir Chavis in the transfer portal. Get the latest Arkansas basketball roster news at HawgSports.com.
