Sparta hrála krásný, kombinační hokej, hokejově úplně jinde a prohrála. Přesilovky rozhodují, Sparta 0.“

A nepřímo ho v televizním studiu Oneplay Sport s dávkou ironie doplňoval Duda: „Kometa měla zákaz střílet.

Arkansas vs. Houston prediction, pick, odds: John Calipari, No. 14 Razorbacks meet No. 8 Cougars

A pair of old Southwest Conference rivals will square off for the first time since the 2017-18 season on Saturday, when No. 8 Houston and No. 14 Arkansas tangle on CBS in a marquee showdown inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The meeting brings a final showcase opportunity for both as nonconference play winds down ahead of the start of Big 12 and SEC play during the first week of January. It marks Houston's toughest December test after a challenging November slate that showed the promise of a team led by a mixture of grizzled veterans and freshman phenoms. As per usual, the Cougars are a gritty defensive club that plays a physical, grinding style designed to wear down the opposition. Arkansas counters with an up-tempo attack led by a pair of star freshman guards in Darius Acuff […]

‘The best point guard in the country’: Texas’ Rori Harmon powered by Vic Schaefer’s belief

Last month at the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas, after Texas took down then-No. 3 UCLA to set up a showdown with then-No. 2 South Carolina the next day, head coach Vic Schaefer took a moment in the press conference to make a bold statement."I thought down the stretch, Rori Harmon showed why she is the best point guard in the country," Schaefer said. This wasn't the first or last time that Schaefer made such a proclamation. But Harmon takes it to heart each time."For someone like Coach Schaefer, of his stature and his greatness, to think that of me is a pretty big deal and just something that I want to live up to," Harmon told CBS Sports. "He has such a high standard for me to just come out and play as hard as I can and be […]

Kentucky vs. St. John’s prediction, pick, odds, spread: CBS Sports Classic debut for Rick Pitino, Red Storm

A giant missed opportunity.  That's what is looming for the loser of Saturday's showdown between No. 22 St. John's and Kentucky at the CBS Sports Classic. For St. John's, it's one last opportunity in nonconference play to notch its first Quad 1 victory of the season. For Kentucky, it's a chance to prove that it can get off the mat after being battered, bruised and tossed aside by Louisville, Michigan State, North Carolina and Gonzaga.  Oh, and there's history here. Pitino led Kentucky to the national championship in 1996. The captain of that club? Current UK coach Mark Pope. Fast-forward 29 years, and Pitino's prized offseason acquisition is former Kentucky forward Bryce Hopkins. Does familiarity breed contempt? Pope would push back on that fable, but there's so much on the line for two teams that have talent galore but still […]

Where to watch Ole Miss vs. Tulane: TV channel, stream, kickoff time for CFP game in first round

The first round of the College Football Playoff presents two rematches of regular-season games, and the second of those contests comes Saturday afternoon when No. 6-seed Ole Miss hosts No. 11-seed Tulane for the second time in three months. The Rebels left no doubt in the September matchup with a 45-10 blowout victory, and considering their head-to-head result and the fact that lopsided games are not entirely uncommon in the CFP, a repeat outcome is well within the realm of possibility.Changes to both coaching staffs throw uncertainty into the equation, though. Lane Kiffin will not be on the sideline for Ole Miss this time around after he took the LSU job, but Jon Sumrall will continue to lead Tulane even after accepting the Florida position. How both teams adapt to the moving parts on their sidelines could play a role […]

Tom Fornelli’s Four Pack: Picks for Oklahoma-Alabama, Ole Miss-Tulane and every game in CFP first round
