A seleção brasileira se aproxima de uma semana sem técnico após a demissão de Dorival Júnior no dia 28 de março. Dentre vários rumores foi especulado novamente o nome de Carlo Ancelotti, atual treinador do Real Madrid.
Em meio a esse cenário de indefinição, o ex-jogador Rivaldo deu sua opinião sobre a possibilidade de Ancelotti deixar o clube espanhol e assumir o comando da equipe canarinho.
“A situação está complicada, tanto pela pressão da imprensa quanto dos torcedores. Com o sucesso de alguns técnicos estrangeiros, especialmente os portugueses, que têm conquistado títulos no futebol brasileiro, fala-se muito sobre a necessidade de um treinador de fora para a seleção brasileira.
Os nomes de Jesus e Ancelotti apareceram. Mas, na minha opinião, a possibilidade do italiano vir não existe. Ele está muito bem no Real e não deve sair“, afirmou o ex-jogador em entrevista à Betfair.
Sonho antigo da CBF
Carlo Ancelotti está no radar da entidade há tempos. Inclusive Ednaldo Rodrigues, que recentemente foi reeleito presidente da CBF, chegou a cravar que o italiano seria o técnico da seleção brasileira.
“Ele [Ancelotti] vai estar [na seleção]. com certeza”, afirmou o dirigente em junho de 2023, quando Fernando Diniz foi anunciado como técnico da Canarinho.
A ideia era que Diniz comandasse o Brasil durante um ano, com Carlo Ancelotti assumindo a Amarelinha em junho de 2024, já para a disputa da Copa América e em seguida as Eliminatórias da Copa do Mundo.

Ancelotti quer assumir a seleção brasileira?
O ex-jogador Ronaldo Fenômeno chegou a afirmar em entrevista ao Charla Podcast que “ajudou no processo” para aproximar Carlo Ancelotti de Ednaldo Rodrigues, mas a negociação não avançou por falta da liberação do Real Madrid.
Mas o treinador desmentiu essa conversa, reforçando que tem vínculo com a equipe espanhola.
“Tenho muito carinho pela torcida brasileira e seus jogadores, mas tenho contrato com o Real Madrid. O contrato é claro. Não houve nenhum contato entre a Federação (CBF) e eu nos últimos dias e o meu foco está no clube”
