El Manchester United lleva varios años irreconocibles, atrás quedan esos jugadores como Rooney, Van Nistelrooy, Van der Sar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Keane… Que llevaron a lo más alto al conjunto de los ‘red devils’, de la mano de ‘Sir’ Álex Ferguson. Pero todo eso ya no importa, en cierta medida, a los aficionados del United.
Lo que interesa es el presente, y a día de hoy su juego no convence, de ahí que estén el 13º en la tabla de la Premier, después incluso del cambio de entrenador a principio de temporada, Rúben Amorim parece que no ha encontrado la tecla. Son varios los jugadores tachados como ‘desaprovechados’, jugadores como Højlund o Yoro llegaban para salvar la situación, pero no está siendo así…
La cosa cambia lejos de Old Trafford
Por otro lado, los que han decidido abandonar Manchester, parece que han encontrado su mejor versión, ya sea por un mejor esquema que se adapta a su juego, porque están jugando los minutos que reclamaban o simplemente que sus compañeros y entrenador les están dando la confianza que tanto anhelaban.
Marcus Rashford está deslumbrando en el Aston Villa de Unai Emery y Asensio, Antony se ha convertido en un ídolo en el Betis, hasta tal punto que Isco está pidiendo que se quede, y el último, Elanga, que con su gol dio la victoria al Nottingham Forest (también les ganaron en la ida), pero la lista no termina aquí.

El extremo brasileño disputó casi 100 partidos en el Manchester United, en los casi tres años que vivió en la ciudad, allí consiguió marcar 12 tantos y repartir tan solo cinco asistencias, números muy pobres para los 95 millones que le costó a los ‘diablos rojos’, cuestionado siempre por su actitud en el campo, con regates y gestos muy señalados.
Ahora parece que ha encontrado su ‘casa’ en Sevilla, donde está enamorando a los béticos con su juego, decidiendo incluso partidos, es sin duda un ídolo. Isco, tras ganar el derbi sevillano, pidió, en tono de broma, que se creara uncrowfunding para costear el fichaje del delantero.
Antony recaló en España en este mercado invernal, después de que Rúben Amorim no contara con él, ahora parece que se está arrepintiendo con las espectaculares actuaciones de su ex jugador, aunque de momento sólo admite que están centrados en el presente y no en el futuro, cuando le preguntan acerca de una posible vuelta del jugador.

Hasta el hijo pródigo de la ciudad de Manchester tuvo que buscar una escapatoria, en este caso hacia Villa Park, el conjunto de Unai Emery. Tras toda su vida en el mismo club, finalmente ha querido buscar nuevas oportunidades, las cuáles no estaba teniendo en su ‘casa’.
Tras varios años complicados con lesiones, parece que está volviendo a su mejor nivel, haciendo dupla con un gran conocido de nuestra liga, como lo es Marco Asensio, con quien parece que se entiende de maravilla. Aunque en liga aún no se ha estrenado, el técnico español ya lo tiene como un fijo en su esquema.
El entrenador portugués del United, reconoce que siempre le ha tenido en gran estima, sobre todo ahora teniendo en cuenta que está cedido: “Verlo tan bien cedido es positivo para nosotros”.

El viejo Campeón de Europa volverá a jugar Champions, si no pasa nada raro, la próxima temporada, en parte gracias al ex del United.
Nuno Espíritu Santo consiguió derrotar a los diablos rojos el otro día, donde de manera indiscutida, Anthony fue elegido MVP del encuentro. Su solitario gol sirvió al Forest para llevarse los tres puntos, en su casa, ante su gente.
En este caso, no se trata de un jugador cedido, ya que fue vendido, después de estar en Manchester desde juveniles, en 2023 por 18 millones de euros, un precio bastante bajo, teniendo en cuenta su proyección y cómo está el mercado a día de hoy. A día de hoy, Elangapodría jugar en la máxima competición europea el año que viene, mientras que sus ex compañeros, no estarán ni en Conference, por el momento.

Nos encontramos con otro canterano del Manchester United,Scott McTominay fue otra de las víctimas de Ten Hag el pasado verano. Desde juveniles en la ciudad, decidió poner rumbo a Nápoles (a pesar de jugar las dos primeras jornadas de Premier), a razón de algo más de 30 millones. Sería el recambio ideal de Casemiro, de hecho lo estaba siendo. Pero la irrupción de Mainoo (ahora lesionado) y la llegada de Ugarte, hacía difícil su titularidad.
En Napoli parece que ha encontrado su casa, excepto dos partidos, ha jugado casi todos los minutos de esta temporada en Serie A, situándose como una pieza clave en el esquema de Antonio Conte. Están a tan solo tres puntos del líder, el Inter de Milán, optando así al título liguero, situación contraria a la de su ex equipo.

Jugó en las categorías inferiores del Manchester United, llegó al primer equipo y se postulaba como una de las grandes estrellas del futuro más próximo, incluso se llegaba a hablar que lo tendría fácil para ganar el balón de oro después de la época Cristiano-Messi, pero un tema extradeportivo dilapidó su proyección…
Tras la retirada de los cargos en su contra y la suspensión del United, recaló mediante una cesión en el Getafe. Allí jugó 36 partidos, marcó 10 goles y repartió seis asistencias, se estaba convirtiendo en un ídolo azulón gracias a sus buenas actuaciones, pero el préstamo acabó y tuvo que poner rumbo de nuevo a Manchester.
En julio decidió poner rumbo a tierras francesas, más concretamente al Olympique de Marsella, bajo las órdenes de Roberto De Zerbi, quien ha depositado en él, toda su confianza, de ahí que haya sido titular indiscutible, siendo MVP en varios encuentros, e incluso ganó el premio a mejor jugador del mes en diciembre.
En la Ligue 1 luchan por acabar segundos (actualmente están 3º), ya que quedar por delante del PSG ha sido en los últimos años, misión imposible. Del 2º al 7º están en cinco puntos, con lo que el extremo podría jugar Champions la siguiente campaña. Mason es el segundo máximo goleador en liga con 15 goles, a seis eso sí del primero, Ousmane Dembélé.
Otras salidas que no les fue tan bien…
Abandonar Old Trafford normalmente es sinónimo de éxito, pero no siempre está siendo así. Muchos comentan que si quieres triunfar, no te puedes quedar en el Manchester United, porque ya no es lo que era, y los números así lo demuestran.
Jugadores como Raphael Varane, decidieron abandonar la ciudad y no han encontrado esa ‘felicidad’ futbolística. En este caso en concreto, en julio decidió firmar por el Como de Cesc Fábregas, pero sorprendentemente, apenas un par de meses después decidió colgar las botas de manera definitiva.
Otro es Wan Bissaka, el lateral quiso salir en busca de más oportunidades, entonces puso rumbo al West Ham. Es cierto que está teniendo la continuidad que tanto exigía, pero su club va incluso peor que su ex equipo, no luchan por descender, pero porque los hay una gran ventaja de puntos entre el 17 y el 18.
Un canterano del City que acabó en el United, esta es la historia de Jadon Sancho. Aunque donde verdaderamente demostró su ‘prime’ futbolístico, fue en el Borussia Dortmund. En 2021 recaló en Old Trafford a cambio de más de 80 millones de euros, pero la versión que vimos en el Signal Iduna Park, no la volveríamos a ver jamás, algunos destellos, pero poco más.

Idas y venidas, entre Inglaterra y Alemania, el inglés acabó finalmente en el Chelsea de Enzo Maresca el pasado mes de agosto, eso sí, en calidad de cedido. Pero el conjunto londinense, ya ha dejado claro que no ejercerá la opción de compra y estará dispuesto a pagar una multa, con tal de no quedarse con el jugador. Su equipo ocupa la sexta plaza, pero su importancia sobre el campo ha ido disminuyendo significativamente. En junio, volverá a la ciudad deportiva de los diablos rojos.
¿Deberían salir para impulsar su carrera?
Una de las grandes estrellas, en cuanto a proyección, es Alejandro Garnacho, pero se prevé imposible que llegue lejos si se queda en el United. Se ha hablado mucho de su salida, sobre todo ahora en el mercado invernal, pero al final no se ha concretado nada.
Kobbie Mainoo está llamado a ser uno de los ejes de la selección inglesa por lo menos hasta dentro de los próximos 10 años, a día de hoy se encuentra lesionado, aunque reaparecerá en breves. Después de estar desde las categorías inferiores de los ‘reds devils’, ahora es el recambio natural de Casemiro, pero claro, quitarle el puesto a alguien que tiene cinco Champions League, se antoja complicado a día de hoy, por lo que lo más factible, sería una salida.
Amad Diallo, también lesionado hoy por hoy, es otro de los que están destinados a la grandeza. Ya ha protagonizado grandes noches con el Manchester United, salvando a su club en varias ocasiones, algo que define la situación actual del club. Dada la calidad que tiene el marfileño, parece que Old Trafford se le está quedando pequeño.
